    Well we’re do I start, January has been a cracking month for both fishing and days at sea with settled weather throughout the month. We have been working hard on the uptide/downtide grounds and have seen some belting fish over the rails . Some days we have had 100 plus codlings over the rails with the average stamp around the 2lb to 4lb mark but this month saw regular Dave Jenkins boat a couple of crackers into double figures on the same trip of 11lb 2 ounce and the second over 14lb. We have also had pollock to 7lb and few doggies here and there. We now have the WCSA festival dates which are for the competitions here at Whitby below.
    The Spring competition dates are April 18th to May 3rd INC. Big cash prizes!!
    The Summer competition dates are June 27th to July 19th INC Get yourselves a trip booked to have a chance of winning a prize worth up to £5000.00 in pound notes!!
    The late Summer competition dates are August 29th to September 13th INC You can book any places as from now. Please note booking early will result in you getting the best tides especially over the summer festival and autumn festival as it’s mostly over the wrecks and rough ground.
