    Report on-board Flamer IV

APRIL 2012 - Tony Fitzmaurice age 46 from Warrington,Cheshire had never caught a flatfish despite trying several times.Well on this trip with a bit of coaching from the skipper,Tony not only caught his first flatty he got what is known as a "GRAND SLAM" catching Turbot,Brill and Plaice all on the same trip.To say Tony was happy is an understatement."Well Done Tony".Tony was using a Shakespeare 15Ib class Ugly Stick rod with a trace that had attractor beads and a silver blade on and baited with rag and black lugworm cocktail tipped with a strip of Ammo squid for the Plaice.Tony used a flowing trace with a 4/0 hook baited with a strip of Ammo mackerel for the Turbot and Brill.Tony is pictured with the 5Ib 4oz Brill he caught on the the last drift of the day to get his credible "GRAND SLAM".
