    Report on-board High Flyer 2

Todays trip was first time out after a few days of rough NE winds, headed north today in search of early bass that have been avoiding us lately. Anchored up on the sandbank in 45 ft resulting in a lovely 4lb bass ,few dogfish and whiting, having to move inshore due to increasing winds to a favourite mark that has generally proved itself this time of year. Was very lucky to catch with no visibility a rather large makerel , more smoothhounds and doggies at this mark but again the wind forced us on ending up in the Roads, resulting in a nice thornback ray, more smoothies and doggies, small codling and whiting, no flatfish at all which surprised me. We certainly had our share of species today, many thanks to the lads from Easy Jet especially Matt for organizing the trip, appreciate you making the journey, Rob, Dan,Grant,Ian,Ivan,Billy,Fraiser and Micheal, enjoyed the day was a pl;easure having you all aboard. Hope to see you all soon. Jon.
