Report on-board Flamer IV
MAY 2012 - During May the fishing in general was very good. The offshore wrecks produced good and sometimes excellent catches of Cod along with Pollack,Ling and occassional Bass.On the Reefs many different species were caught ie Cod,Rays,Tope,Spurdogs,Bull Huss,Black Bream,Congers,Smooth Hounds etc.The flatty fishing was very consistant and some big flatties were caught with lots of anglers getting or beating their Personal Bests.37 different species have been caught on Flamer IV this year so far.Flamer Fish of the Month for May was a difficult choice with so many good fish entered ie 18Ib Spurdog,20Ib Turbot,18Ib Cod,6Ib plaice and many more. But the winner had to be David Clowes with his 7Ib 8oz Plaice(pictured). Also did the Ammo Baits annual competition which was based on Flatty fishing this year and angler/writer Wayne Thomas came out on - CHECK OUT www.2glimpseafish.wordpress.com
