We still have small tides at the minute so wrecking was the order of the day.
A stop at the Bell Buoy on the way out produced some mackerel bait for us so we set off on our way. The first wreck we got to, some of the lads were still in mackerel mode so down went feathers and found even more mackerel, some were only joeys so we popped them on as live baits and got instant results with Ling and Cod.
We carried on fishing the wrecks all day, we had a few tussels with a dastardly seal that kept stealing fish (yes there were a few choice words muttered!)
but all in all we had a fantastic day everyone had at least a box of fish to take home with them, the lads were returning fish through the day as they had caught enough.
We had many fish onboard over 10lb today, the biggest Ling was 16lb, biggest Cod was 12lb.
Local lad and regular aboard Mistress, Faron Trueman with the best Ling of the day
