    Report on-board Supanova II

Some Cracking fishing throughout October has seen many a happy angler that has ventured to Weymouth.

Spring tides have seen some superb bream fishing with double shots galore combined with continued super plaice fishing has meant the inshore action has been superb.

Bass fishing has been exciting to say the least on the portland race both with live Mackerel and also artificial with the Red Gill evolutions proving the lure to beat.

October see's competition time in Weymouth, the annual 2 day bass comp featured 3 Weymouth boats this year with more next year. The aim of the comp is to land the biggest Bass. This year team Supanova were fortunate enough to claim the title for biggest fish and most Points with Phil Rogers and Byron Jones collecting their awards respectively.

And in the last few days team Supanova were beaten narrowly by team Flamer in the annual Supanova vs Flamer flat fish comp. Team Flamer were victorious with 91.5 points and team Supanova 86.5. Well done to the Flamers!

Highlights for the month were Glenn Knight equaling (again! 7 Plaice of the same weight now!) the boat record for Plaice with an astonishing fish of 6lb 12oz.

Biggest Highlight had to be Byron Jones winning fish in the Bass Comp, A boat record and a PB for Byron.

The magnificent fish is pictured of 13lb 8oz.

Thanks to all for continuing to support Weymouth and watch this space for possibly some big Weymouth news in the New Year.

Novemebr will continue to produce good Bass catches with late Bream, a good run of Channel Whiting, and who knows maybe the odd Cod and quite possibly the continued run of Plaice.

On a sad note close friend and colleague Richard English of Lone Shark has decided to call it a day on the angling charters for the time being, a big loss to the port indeed. Good luck RIch in the new career path RIch!

Supanova will be leaving us for her new home in the Shetlands at the start of November but fear not I have a lovely Catamaran to use in the period between the delivery of the all new Supanova 2 in the New Year.

    Tight lines one and all,

    Lyle
