    Report on-board Supanova II

Well.... Supanova II is now happily bobbing round in Weymouth after completing sea trials. The home leg of the journey from Portsmouth to Weymouth saw gusting winds in excess of 35knts which is the best part of a gale and she handles absolutely amazingly. Proving what an outstanding platform she is for angling.

The last couple of days has seen the maiden trips out which have both been nothing short of an absolute pleasure. The first trip was for a few friends and family that have helped along the way with Supanova II. The chosen specie was the hard fighting Pollack that inhabit the mid channel wrecks at this time of year.

After a pleasant cruise at 17knts and a little over an hour and a half later we were at our first location and we were into fish from the off, this continued steadily all day with most fish in the 8-14lb range they really put up a good account of themselves. A couple of moves to look for the biggie also produced fish and on the penultimate drift Kevin Turner smashed his PB by over 6lb and landed this cracker of 20lb 2oz (pictured)! Well done Kev!

THe second day was the first trip proper, the fishing was a little slow but a move another 10 miles further on made all the difference, the fishing was crazy and by half one the lads had enough fish for the table so they asked if we could get in early to watch the rugby. We took a steady plod home while crewman Ryan filleted down the fish all ready for the lads tables!

Feb and March really are the best time to bag a big PB Pollack so if you fancy a day on the all new Supanova II get in touch!

Thanks to all again for their continued support to the port.

    Tight lines,

    Lyle
