    Report on-board Flamer IV

June threw up some very un seasonal weather but despite this some good fish were caught when the weather allowed. The reefs produced some good catches of black bream, tope, bull huss, congers, cod and undulate and thornback rays. Mark Sargeant caught an amazing ray double landing a 15Ib female Undulate ray and then five minutes later landed a 15Ib 8oz male Undulate ray.James Mccarthy landed a 13Ib Thornback ray.The Kidney bank was consistant for 20Ib plus blonde rays, like the 22 pounder Aiofe Dillon caught on her first boat fishing trip. The Shambles Bank produced a few Turbot and Brill. Plaice were caught on the mussel beds in particular on one trip that produced 14 in total with nearly all the plaice weighing over 4Ib and the best one of 5Ib 4oz caught by John Hayes. The offshore wrecks were good for pollack, cod, bass and a few ling. The Flamer 2007 species count is now 45. June Flamer Fish of the Month was awarded to Paul Lawson for his personal best 9Ib Bass catch.
