August (early)Catch Report 2013
August has started with some good size cod and Pollock the average size Codling being kept is between 3lb to 6lb ,on some trips there have been more Pollock caught by some Angler than Codlings, best being caught by John Turner and weighed in at 10lb (see photo ) but there have be quite a few Pollock between 6lb to 8lb.
One Angler from Hawick had a nice Pollock of 9lb off one of the wrecks .Fire tail jelly worms and shads fished on long flowing traces seem to be the most successful .
There’s still some decent cod being caught off the rough ground best being around the 10lb mark.
