Report on-board Supanova II
Hi All,
View Boats Page
a lifetime since the last report, things have been crazy busy with the wonderful weather we have been experiencing. 4 channel islands crosiing in May proved fairly fruitful, numbers of Flatfish were down a little on previous years but the quality was for sure much better with more double figure fish than i have ever seen which can only be a good thing. This goes to show that the strict 45cm size limit i operate can pay off if you give the smaller fish a chance.
The wrecking the last couple of months has been fantatstic with great catches of Cod and Pollack which has been nice to see, althoigh things have tailed off slightly this week. We have seen 3 John Dory's in recent weeks which have been a pleasant suprise.
Inshore fishing has been pretty yough to be honest certainly for the flatfish, Some cracking breaming in May boades well for the next month or so when they should reappear for the summer. Some nice rays, Tope, Huss and congers on the reefs for those of you that wish to anchor up. A nice early run of bass has kept things interesting on the various tidal marks with 3 doubles already boated this year with many anglers choosing to return the big fish which is wonderful to see.
Long may this weather continue and tight lines one and all, keep coming to Weymouth the country's Premier sport angling port. Top Boats, Top Skippers and Top facilities.
