    Report on-board High Flyer 2

    Started off todays charter with high hopes of getting hold of few last remaining skate that have been hanging around inshore tide was right , bit lumpy but worth the ride i thought! Anchored up to proven spot armed with fresh herring but the whiting had other ideas. Few crackers came aboard from the off but no skate! Stayed there till slack couple of flatties came in too. Moved with the other dozen or so boats to the Roads slightly off in the deeper part still hoping for our skate but wasnt to be. The fishing was too slow with just whiting and small codling or two so headed in to my usual inside spot on the rough where we just about guarentee the codling will be there! Ended up with about 25 keepers i believe, some nice whiting in among them, Really enjoyed the day with great lads, Dave and Rodger,Stan,Nick Jamie,Ben, and Sean ,Simon,Chris and Ian, pity about the skate but think the codling made up for it. look forward to seeing you boys again soon, all the best.
