After a very successful summer, we will now be turning our attentions to cod fishing. The Goodwin sands and chalk ledges around the foreland are great areas to target early season fish. The first fish are around the 3-5lb bracket, with the larger fish arriving in October as they follow the whiting scholes inshore as the nights draw in. Large autumn bass will also be amongst them and live whiting fished on a flowing trace can often see bass up to 15lb come to the net. Large fresh lug baits, cuttle and whole squid will get you amongst the fish. Remember all top quality bait can be supplied to you onboard. Just ask when booking.
