Report on-board Mistress
We managed our 2nd day of the of the year wrecking yesterday, the weather here at whitby played ball with us giving us very little wind and glorious sunshine all day.

We had a good steam offshore the wrecks on the 20 mile looking for clearer water, I was absolutely shocked to see that a there looked to be traces of the dreaded algae in the water,
we plucked away at a couple of wrecks until slack water, then moved again, we hit it with virtually no drift on at all, then BANG, every single rod went into fish, we had a great mad half hour with cod after cod smashing our shads, one lad fishing hokais managed a two treble shots of fish, then as quickly as the madness started it finished with the arrival of the ebb tide.
everybody had raked up a good few fish, i was a bit disappointed we hadn't done better, but the lads were all beaming with the result, we had a rod average of 8 or 9 cod per man.
we dropped on an a few marks on the way in for next to nothing, before we finished on a bit of scrap as the next slack approached, we raked another half a dozen fish to squid baits.
A very enjoyable day for us
