NEW PHOTO UPLOADED! Had a good day on the tope with numbers well into double figures. The biggest was 45lb and it gave a big surprise. Halfway to the surface the fish got a new lease of life and darted off at a rate of knots. It took quite a while to get it back under control and when it surfaced after a mighty tussle we saw the teeth marks on its flanks. It had been taken by a shark on it's way up! I've put a photo up on the site and am waiting for a better one from one of the anglers present. The teeth marks are about 9 or 10 inches across and seem to be only the front of the jaws. I am assuming it was a porbeagle but I couldn't swear to it. In nearly 40 years as a charter skipper I've never seen anything like that. I've seen pollock bitten up but not a 45lb tope. What an amazing day. I should like to reassure any people who may be disturbed by this picture, that sharks only ever attack you when you are wet. Regards Pat
