Report on-board Size Matters

August has been very good so far onboard Size Matters from Plymouth, we have been catching Conger to 70lb, Ling to 26lb and Pollack to 9lb.
On one trip we set off at midnight yes midnight, to give the lads the best chance of fishing tide and wind together so I could anchor a wreck for a chance of some big Conger. The lads fished hard and caught 47 Conger to 70lb, 8 Ling to 17lb, 4 Blue shark to 80lb and a 30lb Porgie.
All on Conger traces no wire, the biggest Blue Shark was caught on the bottom fishing for Conger. Most days when anchoring the wrecks we are catching 40 to 50 Conger and Ling.
The Pollack and Cod fishing has slowed down but things should pick up in the next set of spring tides. For the next two months we have a lot of Sharking and Conger trips booked so watch this space you mite just see a few big ones being caught.
