Massive thanks to John for organising a thoroughly enjoyable run out yesterday.
We headed out to a wreck first thing to pick up some mackerel, but found it to be on the wrong side of windy and choppy for the party aboard. We had reliable intel from Keith Armstrong who was out with his son on his SIB, fishing the inner rough grounds, that it was a fish a drop.
We immediately headed off, and found lovely calm waters, protection from the wind, and endless Mackerel, Codling to 7 lb, Whiting, Pouting, and small Ling for sport for the remainder of the day.
Hopefully everyone had a safe road trip back to Manchester last night and enjoys their catch.

It was a slow start to the day; the mackerel were fairly patchy in the morning but we finally got enough for bait.
There were fish pretty much everywhere we went but not in huge quantities. The stamp of the fish made up for it with a 22 lb Ling coming aboard, a 12.5 lb Pollack and a lovely clean Sprag well into double figures.
Once again the guys fished hard until the last drop.

We had a glorious run out today, with minimal wind and flat seas.
The lads found themselves a cracking stamp of Codling, Ling and some chunky Coalies with plenty of Mackerel for sport.
Great banter all day with everyone fishing hard until the last drop.

The objective last Sunday was to find the Mackerel, which we did (it hasn't been that easy lately as they have been fairly patchy).
A good stamp of Codling, Ling, Pollack, Haddock, Pouting and Whiting also came aboard during the course of the day.

We had a trip out today which started slowly, but culminated into a fantastic run in the sun!
With some perseverance we found a great stamp of Pollock, Codling, smaller Ling, finally located a shoal of Mackerel, and plenty of Whiting, Coalies, Pouting and Wrasse.

We had a short run out with the lads on Thursday evening.
The tail end of the persistent South Easterly made it hard going but we still found a Pollock, and some cracking Mackerel and Coalies for bait and for the pan (with a nice sunset to top it off).

It was a tale of two halves tonight; we were met with a choppy South Easterly as we exited the Tyne piers, and an absolutey flat calm stunning sunset welcomed us back home later that evening.
Craig, Ron, Mark, Stu and the lads took the rough with the smooth and soldiered on until both the tide and conditions eased off, and found some great Ling, Codling, Haddock, Pouting and Mackerel for their efforts! Henry snatched the sweep from Craig on the second last wreck of the night, with a lovely clean 8lb Codling.

It was a bit of a windy and choppy start today, but it settled down nicely as the morning progressed and turned into a warm and sunny run out.
We found some lovely Codling, way too many Ling to count, a great stamp of Pollock and a good number of Haddock, Coalies, Whiting, some jumbo Pouting and of course Mackerel (although they were everywhere, they seemed to be a little more patchy than recent days).

We had flat seas today with some intermittent sunshine, rain showers and wind thrown in.
Some nice codling, smaller ling, haddock, coalies, whiting, pouting, gurnards and of course non stop mackerel.

We had a fantastic father and son run out this afternoon, all thanks to Charles for organising the trip.
Lots of mackerel, sunshine and rainbows in no particular order! Possibly the most rewarding short trip so far this season. :-)
