sat 3rd june
had tog and the lads up from barnsley area. and as usual the craich was brill turned out to be a excellent days wrecking, with most of the lads averaging 5-8 fish each. most fish in the 4-6lbs range
with a few cod touching 8lbs. a nice pollack around 6lbs
but with tons of huge mackrel on the go it was inevitable the biggest fishes of the day were going to be lings. and sure enougth we had plenty lings and a few over 10lbs and davys the best around 13lbs

27th may
RED LETTER DAY
fishing at the moment is FANTASTIC with non stop action almost all day. with cod mostly in the 4-6lbs range and cod upto 8-9lbs best
and taking 4 double figure lings 10.5lbs upto 12.5lbs
we hit one wreck and took 30 fish in one drift. with alan russel ken and davy managing to get down instant hook up. straight back down instant hook up. straight back down instant hook up. 4 times each
all within A 5 MINUTE DRIFT UNBELEVIABLE FISHING
and all nice plump cod between 3-6lbs
we took fish every mark we tried, with so many double shots i lost count -

the weather in may has started same as april with lumpy and unsettled seas. however when we do get out there are signs of a better stamp of fish
showing through, with ling just into double figures, and cod to 7lbs
and at last ther weather seems to be settling down this week
we do have places left for this thursday and saturday coming 13th may

just a catch up as weather is at last looking ok for this coming . bank holiday weekend. so with the small tides and at last a little settled weather spell
i expect the fishing to take off

sunday 12th feb
turned out a lovely day with hardly a ripple on the water. didnt even get the anchor set when they were shouting for the net. a nice cod around 6lbs nice start
picked away all day with the fish coming in small waves. with over 50 cod boated upto 6lbs by only 4 rods
countless whittings some almost 2 pounds and strangley today more doggies than ever with more than ten taken today
all in all a lovely day with more or less bites all day long

january 2nd
well with all of december being a right off with non stop windy and lumpy conditions . it was nice to eventually have a trip out again. so with it struggling to get daylight
we set off. it was a cold start temperatures never got above 2 degrees [but toasty in the heated wheelhouse]
set out the anchor. and waited very quite for the first 15 minutes then 3-4 fish coming aboard a couple around 2.5lbs 3lbs
quite again. uped anchor and had a move
same again fish coming through in little waves then quite spells as well picking fish up here and there
ended up reasonably steady a few nice whiting upto about 2lbs and cod to 5lbs -

sat 12th november
what a lovely day out especially after all the winds weve had of late
first stop straight into MACKREL !!! YES MACKREL and really big mackrel at that a nice suprise for mid november
loads coalies whiting. coming over the gunnels as well and a sprinkling of cod
a steady days fishing with the cod showing up nicely both at anchor and on the drift
the cod were falling to squid prawns and of course fresh mackrel baits
with the shorter days and cod on the ground we will be starting are winter fishing at anchor [ uptiding/ downtiding ]
