***Fishing Report 19/6/24***
It's been very hard on the Rhyl Boats over the past few weeks with the continuous poor weather but we finally have a clear run for a while.
Today we had an 8hr Charter and started on the Bass. Once on location we just couldn't go wrong, birds diving Bass bubbling at the surface. A very happy bunch of Anglers indeed.
We then head further offshore and targeted Ray's which also kept us busy. With all anglers having at least one a piece.
Finally we had the last hr on the Tope and wow, they were very active indeed. The 1st one landed withing 5mins of anchor drop. After we were into double figures our party wanted to head in earlier than planned to get home and enjoy their earlier catch.

*** Fishing Report 20th April 2024***
Finally the weather gave in and allowed us out today for a Double Shuffle 5hr & 8hr.
We stayed inshore for the 5hr and managed around 25 Smooth-Hound a couple of Huss, Whiting, Dogs, Dabs and Pouting before heading back in for a swift turn around before heading back out for the 8hr.
We then head further offshore in search for a few Mackerel first which proved a blank but we did manage a few Herring before stopping at Anchor. We then fished for a couple of hrs on the bottom but the usual Dogs Whiting and Dabs were the staple. We fished out the last of the trip inshore again and the fishing was a bit more active on the other species and managed a good few more Smooth-Hound, Nice Huss, a couple of Ray's, another surprise Coalie and to finish off, a Bass.
Species Today:
Bull Huss
Thornback Ray
Smooth-Hound
Coal Fish
Bass
Pouting
Herring
Dab
Whiting
Dogfish.
Not Bad for April and the season is strengthening all the time.

*Fishing Report 29th March 2024*
Today saw the very 1st trip of the 2024 Rhyl Season for a 5hr Individuals sailing at 10:15.
We departed Rhyl and headed East to see what we could hook and the weather at the time was mild and calm.
Once we got on location we dropped the anchor, put the kettle on and dropped our baited lines down to see what we could summon.
Not long in the 1st Whiting came on board followed by a very early Smooth-Hound which is a promising site so early in the year.
As the fishing was quite steady we stayed at this spot in the hope we may get a few Bull Huss over the slack and even maybe a Ray or two.
As the tide eased right off we had our 1st Huss and the young chap was made up with seeing Starfish and Whelks clinging to the baits and passing on his extensive knowledge of them 'he knows his stuff' fare play to him.
As the tides started to pick up on the ebb we noticed a considerable change in the fishing and the catches were coming on more. By this time we had already had Whiting, Dab, Dogfish, Smooth-Hound, Bull Huss and soon the 1st Ray.
A 10min squally shower late on didn't damped our day and then a a decent Huss was hooked and as the net was grabbed it was lost at the surface.
Our 5hrs of fun was then shortly up and we head back to Rhyl Harbour.
Not a bad 1st trip of the season at all.
***We Still Have Spaces for our 5hr 10:45 Sailing Tomorrow so give us a call on 07863 774909 if you want to join the fun*** -

Wednesday 31st May 2023
Today we had a crew of 8 individuals on an 8hr trip.
We started with a few drifts inshore for Bass but to no avail so head out further in search for our fresh bait.
Once we had enough fresh bait we dropped anchor and fished for Rays which kept all on board very busy indeed and a total of 39 landed. One was very unusual as it had a major deformity possibly from a previous injury.
Once the tide eased off the Bull Huss were also coming out to play.
We finished our day off close inshore where a few Tope took the fresh Mackerel baits. The biggest of the day was a modest 21 lb but what a cracking fight that gave.
Species Caught Today: Mackerel, Herring, Poor Cod, Scad, Dogfish, Whiting, Thornback Ray, Bull Huss, Tope .

Today we had a Charter of 6 cracking lads and a great laugh throughout the whole day.
We started inshore towards Rhos on Sea and we tasked by Holyhead Coastguard to assist with a Mayday call concerning a Kayaker in the choppy weather opposite Colwyn Bay Pier. Once on scene we established he was perfectly happy and fishing away for Mackerel so we continued our fishing.
We then did a few drifts over an inshore wreck were we had small Pollack whilst on our way to the Rocky's.
Once we dropped anchor we quickly baited up waited for the first Rays. No movement on the rods at all for 15mins do I advised everyone to freshen up on the baits. All six lads pulled their lines in and there was a full house of fish hooked and completely unaware.
It was not long before we were pulling Rays and Huss in for fun.
After a couple of hrs at it we decided to fish inshore for Tope and managed a few Pups and Smooth-hound on this occasion.
Species Today: Mackerel, Pollack, Whiting, Huss, Thornback, Dab, Tub Gurnard, Tope, Smooth-Hound and Dogfish.

A great mixture of fish with a total of 12 species landed which included Bass, Mackerel, Scad, Herring, Whiting, Dab, Dogfish, Tub Gurnard, Red Gurnard, Thornback Ray, Smooth-Hound and Bull Huss.

Saturday 27th May 2023
Today we had a 12hr charter for mixed species and the fishing and weather did not disappoint at all.
Bass was the first stop and with some help from a large amount of working birds we were straight into them with approx 30 being landed, a good few keepers tho ranging from 43cm to 55cm. All Schoolies were returned safely to grow for next year.
Then we head out for a quick fill of Mackerel and Herring before a brief play on a wreck.
Next up was a stop on the Rays which kept us very busy landing in excess of 30, all decent females too. To finish off the day we fished out the last of the day inshore were we had just a small Tope on these small tides but a few other species on the smaller rigs.
Total of 13 species landed today which were:
Bass, Mackerel, Herring, Grey Gurnard, Tub Gurnard, Poor Cod, Whiting, Dabs, Dogs, Scad, Pouting, Thornback Ray, Tope.
We have very limited availability over the next couple of weeks with only the odd one or two spaces, so call Sarah on 07863774909 to snap them up -
