Plenty of mixed fish but strong tides made it hard fishing. Made several moves to find fish. A good day out with plenty of craic and a decent lunch .

Its been a hectic summer season onboard Skerry Belle and definatly one of our busiest. Bass, hounds, rays have been plentifull and the mackeral showed in good numbers for the kids. We now pay our attention to the autumn fishing where theres a chance of large bass, codling, whiting, and thornback rays. Report on-board Duke IV
Plenty of species off Ramsgate with Smoothounds heading back south while Whiting and maybe a few Cod heading north. Still catching good sized mackerel along with school Bass on feathers and hokkies while our live prawns are hooking up the hounds. We should see more thornback ray as autumn progresses while we are waiting on the large Bass that feed on the pin Whiting. Pic shows Jules who landed the Smoothie taken on live prawn.

A good catch of Bass this morning with fish up to 4lb to hokkai lures and feathers along with Horse mackerel, the Mackerel we were hoping for stayed away. A move inshore resulted in a couple of nice Thornback Ray so a pretty good day with a variety of fish. Now is the time for large Bass to mackerel bait, although we can't keep them for now they make for good sport. Pic shows Simon and Kev with the rays.

Mixed day today Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Skate, Shad and Mackerel and even managed a CODLING, yes you have read correct the cod are here. Fantastic weather today and it looks like this weather is here to stay

Cracking day aboard Lady Ann of Ramsgate decided to try for hounds as we had a young lady on board called Robin on holiday from Cornwall never been fishing before and wanted a Smoothound for her cv, no luck for her but she did manage a nice Thornback after we moved for a few Thornbacks biggest fish was Anthony also on holiday from Cornwall he managed a new pb 10.5 lb lovely fish, all in all cracking day with cracking people.
