Plenty of Skate out from Ramsgate with some good Whiting among them. A few Cod being caught although slow to arrive this year, perhaps due to the high water temperature. The Bass are still around. Herring the top bait for the Skate with lugworm for the bass.. The Herring should arrive soon with the main shoal of Cod and Codling and the Skate will stay throughout the winter. Jeffs group had plenty of fish today keeping the male Skate for the pot. Still some weekend dates available on Duke lV.

Gemma showing the boys how to fish on Lady Ann in tricky conditions today. Gemma didnt give up till she had amazing bite and landed a cracking 6 lb bass which put up a good account for himself in 2 knots of tide. Well fished boys but only 1 winner today, thanks again Jez for brilliant day a laugh a minute, see you all again soon.

The fishing should be spectacular now off the coast of Ramsgate, all through the months of November, December, January and February. The cod fishing will be superb! The herring and sprat scholes have now moved offshore. So with the cod putting on extra weight feeding on these the fish should be much larger than last year. Averaging the 6-8lb bracket and definitely a chance of a large double. With this and the skate fishing on the goodwins where we have seen fish up to 15lb. And over 25 fish a trip. It really should be a bumper few months. Remember all my trips include equipment and some baits and I can supply lug worm onboard so no need to worry about baits on any trip. Remember all trips include a qualified deckhand for your tuition. Children and families more than welcome. Individuals from as little as £40 a head. Call me now on 07805250427 to book.

Still plenty to catch off Ramsgate for now with winter species arriving and summer fish leaving, a few Codling being reported already, quite early this year so hopefully a good winter ahead. Whiting are here one day then gone the next. Bass fishing good mostly small fish but with better ones amongst them. The Hounds are leaving now through our area, nice feisty fish up to 10lb, a real handful on light tackle. We have had good numbers of Skate through the winter recently and as we have been catching them throughout summer we should keep good numbers through winter. Dates available throughout from now whole boat and individuals trips so come on down before it gets too cold. A nice Hound caught other day on 2hrs fishing trip see picture.

Fishing still good in estuary especially when weather is kind ,
Had some good sport with thornback rays and smoothounds to double figures mainly on shrimp and crab baits.
Got dates available midweek 4 or more and we go.
Baits and tackle on board just turn up and fish.

A cracking fish aboard Lady Ann from Ramsgate today in quite testing conditions, caught on single lug. Well fished Matt. Looking forward to a good September for big bass this one topped 9 lb, happy days, still got places for Monday and some in September, weather is looking fantastic to get among some silver bars and maybe an early cod or two. The Belgium fiching club are back in Ramsgate fishing aboard Duke IV, a slow start but after a move to a rough piece of ground Henriec landed a fine Bass of 9lb 12oz on a large mackerel fillet. Joule quickly followed this with a Starry Smoothound of 6lb 8oz, Luke landed a 6lb Bass and Derrick finished the day with a 7lb Hounds. A good start to the week's fishing with plenty of Doggies which are a delicacy back in Belgium so can't go wrong today. Pic shows today's catch
