Report on-board Duke IV
The Bass are shoaling off Ramsgate now, the 4 angler's today landing over 100 to 4lbs on hokkies, the fisheries rules allow us to keep 3 Bass per angler so all but the best fish returned. Also today we have Mackerel and Skate so a hectic few hours it has been. Some quality Hounds around with fish to 10lbs on lug/squid cocktails, this bait being the favourite of the doggies so plenty of them too. The wreck fishing has been hit or miss with Cod and Pollock to the lures. Pic shows today's group with some of the Bass. Still space and date's available on Duke IV, call me on 07715050851 to book! Tight lines Bob

The skate are here in abundance with some lovely specimins being caught up to very high double figures .
And now the hounds have arrived check out my latest photos we are having brilliant days with fish approaching 20lb and loads of others ranging from 5lb upwards with many over 10lb .

I had one last weekend of 8lb and one today of just short of 5lb and a few smaller schoolies.

The improvement in the weather has allowed us to venture further and Pauls group from Bucks came on a Varne trip, after catching some sandeels we fished a wreck for Bass. The wreck proved quiet so we moved onto rough ground and fishing hokkies and feathers a few nice Bass were landed along with Codling and Pollock. Mackerel fishing was surprisingly slow for the Varne but a move to another wreck topped up the box with more Pollack and Codling.

Hello to customers old and new .

As some of you are already aware I have been asked by Ken to take over the running of spitfire for the foreseeable future . I was in the process of looking at different boats trying to find something suitable for myself when I was asked . This suits me at the moment and am only to pleased to take the helm and build the business for him for the next few years .
Spitfire is a lovely boat and has had a lot of money spent on her . There is plenty of room on her and she sits lovely at anchor while fishing . With an onboard toilet and oven for your use and cabin heating those cold frosty are made more pleasant .
The fishing of late has been very good and there are plenty of Rays out there smoothounds are starting to show and a few bass have been reported around the Kent coast .
Everything can be supplied . There are rods and reels and buckets of tackle for use .
Give me a call Steve skipper !
