November exploratory trip for Porbeagle shark. With poor weather hampering our intended plans, we resorted to sheltering in relatively shallow water at anchor. Much chumming, with mature and fresh bait - produced eight spurdog all between 5 and 6 lb's. Mackeral were numerous, with some very big. We also hit a great spot with some extremely good pollock... no Porbeagles this time, but we'll keep trying.

Had a fantastic weeks fishing with a great bunch of guys caught some cracking fish even though the weather wasn't very kind to us at the beggining, there was a bit of swell but it never stopped us in our tracks, there was a variety of rods and reels used with Mackerel bait but the jigging rods went down without bait and done the same job brought up some monster fish... we caught 15 species over a period of time, some PB for the guys.

we arrived at the grounds all ready with a variety of rods and reels using flowing traces with 5" silver spoons with coloured beads and size 5/0 hook baited with mackrel and squid.
the first bite was a good fish weighing in at 9LB turbot fine small fish for a start but they got bigger as the day went on and Tommy Tyler caught a 23.5LB
The snow showers continued and the wind stayed light with fishing just got better and better the fish was coming aboard and the guys that hadn't caught the fish before were all enjoying a day to remember as they all caught a decent Turbot. The fish was coming aboad thick and fast a few personal bests for most of the guys
Charlie Hunter from Ocean Tackle Store in lerwick was delighted with his catch.
the biggest catch of the day was Ken Graham from Lerwick with his 24.9LB Turbot a personal best for ken and the first time for this species a excellent day and the weather held out until we headed back in at 5.30pm.
