Report on-board Dawn Venture
The first of the autumn storms graced us with its prescence and we had waves of upto 25ft battering the coastline.A short trip out was possible before it came and we caught over 40 dogfish in 2 hours, along with 6 huss, the best of these being just over 10lb.

the water is now the colour of mud and it would be safe to say the mackerel will have departed as there numbers were dwindling in the latter part of September.
Cod are now the target species and uptiding will be the preferred technique. The boat is running all through the winter. All uptiding rods are held on board with reels grip leads and pennel rigs. -

Report on-board Dawn Venture
Kristof and the Glasgow boys came out on a blustery day and a rough sea through the night had coloured the water.A trip down to Port Logan produced plenty of mackerel, whiting and small codling and haddock.the wreck was tried to no avail and pollacking in the weeds was fruitless due to poor clarity.the anchor was dropped and we got gurnards, whiting, mackerel and a strap conger (5lb).water clarity needs to improve!

Report on-board Lucky Dip II
August was a bit on the windy side but we still made the most of it to bring in good numbers of quality fish. We also lost some fish due to tackle that was to light. Tope biting straight through 100lb hook lengths and a 20 minute battle with a large skate that just pulled the boat around on its anchor. We intend to fish on through the winter and target some of our larger species including Conger, Skate, Rays and Cod. Many thanks to all for another great months fishing. Look forward to seeing you all again soon. Steve

Report on-board Lucky Dip II
We have been pretty busy this last few weeks, lots of trips with lots of fish. While the wrecks seem to be taking a rest we have been targeting the banks and reefs taking huge amounts of fish. We have been getting plenty of double figure Huss, lots of codling, whiting Haddock and Gurnard. A few unexpected Tope runs along with an epic battle this Sunday with a large fish, probably a large Skate, taking baits meant for the Huss. Big enough to pull the boat around while at anchor. More big baits will be getting put down over the next couple of months!
