The Heads of Ayr club caught over 150 codling during their two days. The best fish was Willie Devlin's 15lb cod.

had alan and his lads out today,mackerel were very scarce(only 1 caught!),some small codling,whiting and coalfish but some good huss (15lb,12lb,10lb,9lb,2x7lb and several at 5lb)

Had Brian and his boys out on quite a blustery but sunny day,2 mackerel put in an appearance along with several codling that were just size,some small doggies and this nice wrasse.

mixed bunch of guys today who wanted to anchor for huss and then drift for Pollack.mackerel are elusive and we used squid as bait for the huss.best fish going 12lb ,but one a lot larger lost at side of boat,about 20 huss in total.also codling upto 3lb ,small haddock and Pollack to 8lb

The last few weeks have seen an improvement if the fishing. We have had large numbers of Pollack to 7lb, Ling to 6lb, Bib, Huss, Gurnard and some lovely Wrasse including a nice specimen Cuckoo over 1.4lb. Our trips are regularly putting over 100 fish on deck with most returned to fight another day. Weekends are booking up quick but we are offering mid week deals on full day bookings.

had the American band "The Reverend Patons Big Damned Band" (playing Glastonbury this Saturday!) out for 3 hrs and we caught 100 dogfish,of those,60 were bullhuss and of those 20 were over 5lb and 3 of those were over 7lb.....all caught on feathers baited with squid/mackerel,some coming up 3 at a time!

weekend summary 20-22 june
struggled with strong nor'westerly wind that hampered the fishing......again,lots of small codling and haddock,coalies mixed in and lots of Pollack in the 1.5-2lb range.also lots of doggies and small huss,biggest huss landed was 6lb with another lost at boats'side about 12lb.
mackerel stil sporadic,seeing only 6 on each of the 3 days...the fish that are getting caught are stuffed with sandeel yet the mackerel remain elusive! View Boats Page

Corinthians sea anglers out today...mackerel and herring very sparse,pollack (7lb best) out of the weeds along with ballan wrasse,cuckoo wrasse,huss,spurdog,whiting,coalies,codling,haddock and pouting
