A short 5hr family trip with Mackerel being the main target we were not to be disappointed as there were plenty coming over the rails from the off, the children caught plenty and got very excited .
The adults managed a few as well :)
Other species were caught including dabs ,dogs, whiting, tub gurnard and the dreaded weaver.
All to quick the trip was over and it was time to return back to port with a very tired group of children sat in the wheelhouse on the return trip.
Many thanks to everybody hope to see you all again soon

Report on-board Supreme
Once again the weather men got it wrong .

The plan was to push offshore a bit but with a dodgy forecast the plans were altered to fish inshore plenty of huss ,dogs ,few dabs, tub gurnard ,plenty of mackerel the lads soon got bored of this and with the wind dying down fancied trying for something a bit bigger .
So we hatched a plan to go to a spot of rough ground and see if we could get a conger or two ,we were not to be disappointed with a few coming to the boat and a few more lost on the way in ,the lads were using barbless hooks.
July has been a bit of a wash out with the rain and wind but the fish still keep coming in so lets hope we can get a prolonged settled spell during August.

I fished with Gwyn Andrews last week on board Goldilocks Charters and had one of the best days fishing for a long time.
Nothing big but plenty of fish coming aboard all day. Lots of whiting dabs Huss mackrel, ECT
Great skiper, and most helpful to some of the novice anglers on board I am an ex international boat angler
so I only recommend top boats and skippers and this is one I highly recommend

Sam Walley and Kelsey Brookfields they showed the older members of the group how to catch fish with Kelsey on his first ever fishing trip catching 9 different species on his own , Sam had a nice Bull Huss 8 lb 6 oz .
These two young anglers never stopped fishing or catching all day and by the end of the day were baiting up and taking fish for themselves .
I know that they will be back again hoping for bigger things.

The plan was to head down towards the rough ground off Prestatyn and fish for Smoothound and Bass mainly due to the sw wind which was forecast to freshen as the tide was rising.
The fishing got off to a flying start with a smoothie for Tony first drop ,he then followed that up with a small Bass, the smoothies kept coming at a steady rate over the next hour and a half with over 20 coming to the boat,we also had a small tope and a hand full of Mackeral .
We had to cut the trip short by half an hour due to the wind but this did allow us to watch some of the airshow on the way in through the spray which was being thrown up by the wind .
look forward to seeing the RSG onboard Supreme again soon

A stag do which turn out to be one of the nicest days this year weather wise.
Medium tides and 0mph wind allowed us to venture round to Trearddur bay, After a 45 minute steam lines down was called and within seconds the first mackeral were coming into the boat so after a breif hour of Macky bashing including a small bass we decided to leave Trearddur bay and go in search of a few tope around Holyhead deeps.
So an hour steam once again saw us drop anchor in around 200feet of water only to have a very slow start for the first 45minutes, as soon as the tide started to slacken we had the first run which produced a fine 28lb Tope.
Within the next 2 hours we had 2 more Tope a 18lb and a lovely 45lb along with Spurdgods to 12lb, Bullhuss to 10b, Plenty of spotty Dogs and whitting also, Then we finished the day with a few more Mackeral for the table.
Overall a very good day and fantastic crew along with superb weather.
Today and the next couple have been called off due to bad weather.

I had my fishing trip yesterday on the 'Supreme' with 8 other members of my family. What an experience!! It was my first time fishing with a rod and i was shown how to do it by an excellent skipper. Our Skipper was Steve. Steve showed me how to work the rod, cooked us all some pasties, made tea and coffee and gave help and advice. Would i recommend the trip? Boy would I! The experience is just amazing. You get to take your catches home!! Im eating mackerel with bread and butter as I'm writing this. BEAUTIFUL tasting fish! Go On the trip and you will want to go again and again and again...

Report on-board My Way 2
Brilliant fun day inshore today with Andy and his 3 lads, Tom, Harry and Freddy. The emphasis on catching plenty of fish and some new species for the youngsters to enjoy. The mission was accomplished with ticks for new species against smoothhound, whiting, spotted ray and grey gurnard along with a few others species the day was a great first time afloat in Holyhead for the young anglers.

Another day inshore with big tides restricting our movement, but glorious weather allowed us to move around Holy Island and target a few different species. With a couple anchors around Holyhead bay and then using the ebb tide to drift around toward Trearddur Bay, the final tally was 16 different species for the day :- dogfish, whiting, codling, huss, dab, pouting, poor cod, spotted ray, smoothhound, pollack, coalfish, mackerel, red and grey gurnards, ballan wrasse & cuckoo wrasse.
Sean was happy to land his first ever smoothhound and spotted ray during the trip, as was Matt, recording his first ever ray (spotted) having only just returned to angling after a break of many years.
Menai Bridge angler Mark Dolben had a target of a cuckoo wrasse for the day, having landed his smoothhound with us earlier in the year; this though was going to prove a little difficult for us with the size of tide. An area guaranteed to produce would see a very fast drift, so we agreed to give it a few drift later on just before we ended the day. After 10 minutes of fruitless attempts in a couple knots of tide, Mark changed to a heavy lead in one last attempt to stay in touch with the sea bed and catch a cuckoo.
As I called lines up & time to go home, Mark had a small twitch on rod, he lifted into the catch and the slowly retrieved his catch. Nice, not the biggest cuckoo ever seen, but when you nail your target, the success and satisfaction is equal to any catch!
