    Report on-board Four Reasons

Hi all, We came out of the water in November for winter MAINTENANCE!!, we were due to be lifted back in April 12th but due to travel restrictions, people from outside the area were unable to work on their boats, so we have now been given a date to be lifted back in 12th May, so we will look at starting trips from Sat 15th May, due to social distance we will only have 4 people per trip until restrictions ease, hope you understand that this will increase the individual price, thanks Richie

    Report on-board Ebony May

2020 what a year ,with the Corona virus pandemic and government lockdown restrictions we were unable to operate our business until the end of June ,and then with strict social distancing ,hand sanitizing and PPE .With these measures in place together with vast deck space on the Ebony May we were able to operate successfully and safely up until the second week in October when we were put back into lockdown. During these few months the fishing was outstanding, with fantastic catches of Tope/,Pollack ,Coalfish in June /July.In July we also had some excellent shark fishing producing both good catches of Blues and Porbeagle Shark .August/September/October produced excellent Bass fishing over inshore and offshore reefs with plenty of fish around 5lb to 8lb mark. We also caught good numbers of bottom species such as Thornback ray,Spotted ray ,Bullhuss , Bream ,Wrasse ,Triger Fish,Turbot ,dabs and Conger. We are really excited and looking forward to the new season. seeing customers both old and new 2021 We will continue to strictly adhere to all government guidelines .Tight lines Stuart(Skipper).

  • 07/2020 Fishing Report by Jack Thomas on Incentive (Colwyn Bay, Conwy)

    Jul 2020 by Jack Thomas

    Report on-board Incentive

We had a full 12 hours to play with today.
Wind much fresher than forecast which made some challenging conditions for a good while this morning.

The lads cracked on and pulled out some nice fish though.

They all landed tope up to the 40lb mark. 1 fish decided to get tangled and come in backwards to the boat with me carefully handlining her in...to then untangle her self the boat and take another 100 yards of line for another scrap! We did very well landing that one as the skin had started to fray his mainline!

After the lads had their tope fix we tried an inshore wreck where they all went home with a feed of Pollack and a solitary codling fillets. There were plenty of coalies hitting the feathers too, but only to around 1lb and a half.

Current operating procedures due to covid mean I am running private charters only with a max of 5 customers.
Prices whilst running with limited numbers are £200 5 hours. £300 8 hours for the boat.
Rod hire £5pp. Lugworm £3 a pack. Or feel free to bring your own tackle and bait.
If i am allowed to carry more passengers then individual trips can resume and I can allow more people onto charters with prices adjusted accordingly.

    Thanks. Jack.
