    Report on-board My Way 2

The strong north east winds thwarted our plans for the deeps today, so we went around the coast in search of rays & huss.
Drifting was slow, with only small pollack, codling and one herring.

Anchor Work provided plenty of dogfish, a few whiting and dabs and also a good number of the anticipated rays and huss.

    Report on-board My Way 2

    A hard day come good.

Difficult conditions in the morning with strong winds and a rough sea that saw us head inshore & abandon our hopes of fishing the deeps. Inshore the fish added to our frustrations.

A few different marks, but only dogs, small huss, and the odd whiting or dabs for our efforts.

With the turn of tide and a calmer sea, fortunately the guys were open to the suggestion of a crack at the deeps again! A frantic hour followed with countless spurdogs to the boat.

  • 04/2018 Fishing Report by Jack Thomas on Incentive (Colwyn Bay, Conwy)

    Apr 2018 by Jack Thomas

    Report on-board Incentive

It's that time of year where the winter species are departing and summer species slowly arriving. In places whiting can still be caught 3 or 4 a drop if that's your fancy. With herring and the odd mackerel showing on small feathers. Dabs and dogs making up the rest of the catch on the open ground.
Plenty of Pollack and the odd coalie are showing Inshore on the reefs and rough ground, a lot of smalls which is a good sign for the summer but with a good few fish around 2lb, not big fish but give a good scrap in the shallows. The first huss of the year has been landed too. Not normally worth a mention but normally this time of year we are plagued with them up to 15lb. So this is a sign of the water warning up at last .
    Spaces available all week.

What a fantastic ‘restart’ to our 2018 fishing exploits in Holyhead Deep and inshore.
Plenty of spurs and huss to start with a couple tope, then triple shots of nice coalfish together with dogs, dabs, whiting etc.
Sausage rolls, muffins, chicken balti and cheesecake too

    Report on-board My Way 2

Enjoyable day afloat yesterday the fishing however not as prolific as previous trips.
Plenty caught with a good mixed bag of fish, but the numbers seemed to be lacking.with us having to move continually to locate the fish.
Assume the 20knots of wind early morning didn’t help, but it soon changed to a lovely calm sun drenched afternoon.
