Report on-board My Way 2
Another good day afloat today, thanks to more settled weather.
View Boats Page
Pollack averaging 5lb on the wreck, followed by an anchor with huss and tope. Inshore drifting the wrasse were again obliging with a good amount of these little fighters being caught.
Top marks go to Gordon who is down for a couple days fishing from the North East, wanting to catch himself a first tope. A nice 30lb tope that fought well from 165ft of water was his reward.

Nice to be back on the water today, our first time for a few weeks thanks to the extremely poor weather we've all suffered with lately. Inshore fished as expected given the northerly winds with dogs, whiting and huss the main catches.

Our anchor in the deeps was slow, no spurs or tope for Laura to tag she she did though manage to tag a couple good sized huss for the Shark research database she collects information for.
Drifting in the deeps worked well, with some nice pollack coming to the rods frequently. Averaging 4lb, Mark with the best at 7lb 2oz
Enjoyable day back at work

Report on-board Kerrykim
Out yesterday in between all the bad weather although still a fresh South Westerly breeze, and had an excellent day on the reefs and bottom fishing. We had Pollack to 8lb and Wrasse to 4lb. The Mackerel are still fairly plentiful too. The bottom fishing was hectic with plenty of Huss to 12lb and a couple of small tope of 18lb, plus Dogs, Whiting and Dabs plus a few Gurnard.

With the prevailing wind being South Westerly you do not often get cancelled when you book with us at Amlwch.

So we've had the last couple of days afloat, yesterday we had great number of BullHuss, Pollack, Mackeral, Whittings and Wrasse, unfortunately the only Tope action was a 5 minite battle for the hook to pull

Settled weather has seen us getting offshore a bit meaning we have been getting a good variety of fish. A good amount of black bream, big dabs, codling, tub red and grey gurnards, huss, rays, dogs, whiting and mackerel by The bucket load. The wrecks are holding Pollack up to 6lb, a few ling and plenty of congers. Inshore there's plenty of mackerel, huss, and some Pollack round the rocks.
