    Report on-board My Way 2

We fished our second Pure Fishing summer competition day today with the slight twist of a Facebook inter group challenge with the Hardcore Hounds up against the Jolly Boys. All anglers with their sights on the first place prize of a Penn Rampage uptider, combined with a Penn Fathom 15 multiplier courtesy of My Ways sponsors Pure Fishing UK Ltd.

Forecast was not the best, a stiff SW F5 blew most of the day restricting our movement. This never dampened the spirits aboard My Way, with plenty of fish being caught from around the bay during various drifts and anchor fishing.

With just short of 300 fish being caught for the 6hrs fishing, the lads worked hard given the conditions. On the drift wrasse and the odd pollack accounted for 80 fish, with ballans, cuckoos, corkwing and a good amount of goldsinneys.

At anchor dogs and whiting led the way with over 100 combined total. 17 huss and a solitary tope for Brooksy added to the mix along with a few other species.

It was a tight match at the top, with three anglers vying for first place, eventual winner was from the Hardcore Hounds, Jonathon Hudd amassing a very respectable 190points pushing Mark Dolben and Pete Minns into 02nd and 03rd places respectively.

A good hard fought day afloat, plenty of fish a few good laughs too!

Overall winners of the inter group challenge were the Jolly Boys, stealing a win from the Hardcore Hounds by 45points.

    Hi
Been out a lot recently. The wrecks are fishing well with Pollack to 12lb and coalies to 7lb. Plenty of good Tope to 40lb and Huss and Thornback in double figures. Plenty of Mackerel too. The reefs are fishing well with good Pollack and Wrasse showing.
We can fish inshore in these strong southerly winds and still have a good day with good quality fish in good quantities.
    Cheers
    Pat

    Report on-board Four Reasons

Despite adverse weather conditions Richie managed to put us on a few fish. We weren't lucky enough to fish the wrecks {due to the winds} but hopefully we will next time. It was our first time out on Four Reasons but it won't be our last. Richie and his son Luke are very knowledgeable and always took time out to help all the anglers out. the hot drinks were more than welcome as were the tasty bacon butties. See you soon.

Nice little trip down the coast, Started off on the hunt for fresh mackerel which did take longer than i expected but with half a bucket after an hour we called it quits and went off to anchor...

Fishing greatly improved with a steady flow of Huss, Rays, Gurnards, Dabs and Dogs from the sand, With slack water approaching a quick move 4 miles back down the coast to a patch of broken ground. Baits hit the bottom and fish were soon biting, First up a Thorny 11lb followed by 60+ Bull Huss to14lb, Strap Congers to 10lb, Tope to 45lb 1oz, Dogs, Whitting and Poorcod.

Overall a brilliant day concentrating on anchor work

Nice day afloat with a good mixed bag of fish, Huss, Congers, Smooth-hound, Thornback Rays, Dogs, Whitting, Pouting, Pollack, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse and Mackeral.

2 Tope lost unfortunately, 1 to a line snap and second to poorly hooked.

Nice to mix things up with drifting over sand, Something boats don't seem to do to often this side of the coast!

Back to being weathered off again tomorrow

Very limited spaces left for the Summer season before we head down to Liverpool ready for the Winter Cod fishing, please get in touch to book your place.

hi out saturday 5th a breezy day. Loads of small pack tope off point lynas total caught 20 plus but all in 6 to 10lbs range nevertheless good sport.. Then went to wrecks 10miles out could not go further due to weather making it too uncomfortable but plenty of Pollack and coalfish around the anglers caught plenty in the 3 to7lbs range to keep them happy. the mackerel still about in force at amlwch some days too many .The shelter we get off Anglesey makes it possible to get out in deep water tope and wreck fishing. please get in touch to get a bargain deal with good fishing. cheers ROY

Great sport this weekend, blustery & drizzly rain on 15th with 16th a complete contrast with little wind, blue skies and gorgeous sunshine.

Good fishing all round with huss and tope the larger species at anchor and a plentiful amount of wrasse and small pollack on the light tackle drifting both days.

And I finally managed to photograph a puffin floating around South Stack from the boat, result albeit from a distance.
