The last few days has seen plenty of whiting, a few codling, dogs, huss, and herring. The sandeels are inshore in the harbour so the signs are well and truely there that summer is on its way. Spaces available through the week and next weekend.

Enjoyable spring day afloat today, plenty of doggies and whiting inshore with a few small pollack on the drift.
Deeps was hard work with a strong tide and ever increasing breeze, but we managed to bag a handful of spurs and Huss, followed by a rollercoaster ride back home.
Good fun, a lovely chicken curry from Mrs Brooksy and and equally delicious Aloo Methi from little Neil, thanks guys and not forgetting a damn good laugh along the way

    ANNOUNCEMENT **

Here at Bad Boyz Charters we are happy to announce for 2017 that we will be working closely with the Scottish Shark Tagging Program.
Within this program we will be tagging Skate, Rays, Tope, Spurdog, Bull-Huss and Smooth-hounds caught on board the boat this season that meet the SSTP's minimal requirements for size/length.

Our main aim when fishing for any of these species is always catch and release, Safety of the fish is paramount to help gather data for future captures, I have no doubt this will be put to test on days fishing for skate or spurdogs with the boat record being 80+ we really have to make sure we tag what fish we believe to meet requirements.

  • 07/02/2017 Fishing Report by Stuart Denman on Ebony May (Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire)

7 Feb 2017 by Stuart Denman

    Report on-board Ebony May

    Hi everyone.
The new fishing season is nearly upon us. We had a cracking season last year. The Tope appeared in May, and steady numbers of them were caught right through up til the end of July. Largest fish being a Tope of 55 lbs, caught by a Bristol angler. One session in July resulted in over 28 Tope being caught in 3 hours over low tide, average fish being 35 lbs. The Bass season started in July, with excellent catches right through until October when bad weather eventually defeated us. Largest Bass caught this season was 9 lbs, landed by Marcus from London, caught on live sandeels. Various other species of fish were landed during the season. On one charter trip we landed quality Skate, Smooth Hound, Bullhuss, Pollack, Coal fish, Whiting, Wrass, Mackerell, Garfish, Dabs, Plaice, Dragonet, Gurnard, Tope and the inevitable dogfish. Making a total of 15 different species of fish. This shows the diversity and variety of fish that can be caught in our area.
Really looking forward to the start of the season in April. Taking bookings now .
Tope trips starting in May, through to July.
Bass trips starting in July, through to October. Using live sandeel.
Any mixed fishing Tope/ Bass, or any other bottom fish can be accommodated.
