Report on-board Incentive
Fishing improving every trip. Whiting dabs and dogs making up the bulk of the catch at the moment but codling have been making an appearance. Big chunks or whole whiting have seen huss coming on board. Tiny sabiki lures will land the herring. Which is a great bait for rays. Get in touch if you fancy a trip.

Report on-board My Way 2
March 2016 was true to form, plenty of wind and rain mixed in with some gloriously fine days. The fishing, when able to get out was generally very good for early season, with some great spurdog fishing available when the weather allowed for travel a little further afield.

Our general fishing trips in March tend to centre on our mainstay species, dogfish, whiting, codling and huss. These are caught in abundance with rays, coalies, pollack, dabs, congers and a few others making an appearance.
Weather permitting, we travelled to areas of Holyhead Deep and encounter for fantastic sport from the packs of spurdogs passing through our waters. Normally Holyhead Deeps needs a neap tide to be fished successfully.
When the weather is great early season the area we fish in the Deeps the tide size is not so critical. Granted the smaller tides give us longer at anchor, but a spring tide can also offer over 2hrs of good fishing.
The vast majority of the spurs have been well into double figures, with the biggest falling to Burnley angler Bernard Casey, a fantastic species of 20lb 13oz, 1 lb over the current Welsh Record boat caught spur. She was weighed, and released after a quick photograph.
April aboard My Way and the fishing continues to improve as moore species move inshore and the spurdog fishing improves.

Report on-board Celtic Wildcat
The winds howling again so i thought i would share some info on a trip last year. I know its late but here is a report on some great shark fishing we had out of Neyland marina West Wales on Celtic Wildcat. Only four of us fishing my eldest son and mum and dad {The clampets}. We were very lucky to get all three days in catching 62 blues, roughly 20 a day. We could have caught a lot more but opted to take the other rods out while we played a shark, no point hooking two and landing none! Five or six over 100lb, with many between 70lb and 100lb. I took 40 fresh mackerel with us on ice which is always a good plan just in case. As it was we loaded up on the first day but you never know. i also took two tubs of rubby dubby for each day which turned out really good. Please note for protection of your sex life don,t mash mackerel up with a hollow tube, when it eventually works its way up and goes over your head and down the back of your neck your supply will definately be cut off. Graeme Pullen did not make this clear in his totally awesome fishing video i,m not happy.!! Skipper Nick,o,Sullivan has been fishing this area for years and it certainly shows, he is very organised and a very nice chap. He is the man to ring if you want to have a go. The sharks in the photos are all over 100lb, my mum landing two over the tonne, so don,t moan that your arms ache because she is 74. On a different note i would like to thank all the skippers that we fish with, its been a terrible winter and we know the bills dont stop even if the fishing does. YOU are our gateway to a lot of fun and laughs, you give me and many others the chance to escape from the bollocks and spend some quality time with my family chasing the ever elusive whopper! Once again thank you all for what you do. Stuart Cross

Report on-board SWN Y MOR
Hi weather still causing problems for offshore fishing gales keep water coloured no good for lure fishing at the moment. But should be ok in a couple of weeks on the neap tides if weather improves usually a lot of coalfish with the pollack at this time of year. Bottom fishing producing odd skate Huss dogs whiting at the moment.should have a good run of spurdogs shortly if they turn up on time. Mid April onwards usually very good or them. Take advantage of special rates on aqua star for good fishing on a large comfortable boat

Report on-board SWN Y MOR
Hi big tides this week coloured up water so lures not very good .plenty of whiting everywhere some good ones. Huss and a few small spurdogs but not much slack water due to size of tides. Try and pick smaller tides better fishing and more slack water. The bigger spring tides ok later on when bass appear and more pollack and coalfish on reefs. Smaller neap tides coming up lets hope it stays calm to get out a bit possibly do a few wrecks

Report on-board My Way 2
The end of 2015 and first 7 weeks of 2016 has seen wind after wind ravage our shores. Most of the UK has suffered with the relentless onslaught together with an unbelievable amount of rain. We cancelled far too many trips the back end of 2015, with storm force winds a seemingly daily occurance.

I took My Way out of the water earlier than planned last season and took the time through the poor weather to get many jobs done, all in anticiaption of a great start to 2016. That didn't quite go to plan, with the first 4 weekends of bookings lost to the power of the wind.
However we managed to get afloat week last Weds, on a small 4hour trip with two families, all looking for their first taste of Anglesey fishing, albeit during February and amidst some awaful wind. Fortunately they brought some great weather and took to fishing with such a enthusiasm it was refreshing to see
Over the weekend 28th & 29th February we managed to grab two whole days afloat. The fishing was fairly good for the time of year and weather. Most rods returneed a fairly regular supply of dogfish, whiting and huss, mixed in with the odd strap conger, codling, pollack and coalfish.
On the Sunday the easterley wind had abated so after a fish filled isnhore few hours we managed to move off to some deeper water. The fishing wasnt hectic, with everyone trying big baits in the hope for some early spurdog action. We were rewarded with a couple spurs and some huss, together with the obligatory dogfish.
Fish numbers, I must admit to being fairly pleased with the quantity being returned, likewise on species, given the weather and time of year, it's not too bad a start. Looking forward now to bigger and better as the season gets into full swing.
