Plenty of pollack up to 6lb on the offshore wrecks on both trips on the bank holiday weekend. We also had an inshore beginners trip where we caught plenty of whiting, dogfish and some nice bull huss up to 14lb. First mackerel of the season too which was great to see!

Another good day on board Conway Star. Lots of fish, with sizeable Dabs and Whiting able to be taken for the Table. Species on the day included Dogfish, Dabs, Whiting, Bull Huss, Codling and a lovely Thornback Ray of 12lb going to Mo. Well fished by the lads on a lumpy day.

Had a great day out with Kev and the guys from Stoke. Plenty of fish coming on board topped by Huss of 13lb and 10lb to David Lowe and Kev Bloor respectively. We had the added attraction of seeing some of the airshow which was going on at Llandudno.

Smoothounds have moved in on the inshore grounds now in good numbers, most fish in the 8 - 14lb range, biggest so far 18llb 6oz. Peelers top bait but fish have been going well on squid this year. Also getting Huss to 14lb amongst them, mackerel should be here in the next couple of weeks and the Tope will follow them.

Some cracking Rays and big Bull Huss coming up at the moment, Plaice on the banks.
Lots of new PB's set , including a specimen Small Eyed Ray of just under 12lb for Jake from Milford Haven. On the same trip Phil P had this angry 13 LB Bull Huss.

Bad traffic meant that only one person made it with us today. Cant turn someone down after they made it here so took them to the local hot spot. This meant we saw the red arrows and boated plenty of fish including whiting,dabs,dogs,codling and plenty of double figure bull huss. We do normally charge extra for the red arrows when landing a double figure fish...

Great day out with John's crew from Stockport, great bunch of anglers some cracking fish, huss from 7-10lb some nice dab whiting and doggies plus the first couple of mackerel of the year nice jumbo's, should see the Tope now looking good so far this year.

As I imagine is the case for most of the country the wind this may has been a nightmare. When we've had favourable offshore winds allowing us to get shelter inshore the fishing has been pretty good. Stacks of whiting,some good size fish too for the time of year,nice dabs,a few codling and the ever present dogs. The bigger baits taking plenty of decent Huss into double figures and thornbacks. Still got spaces this bank holiday weekend if you fancy a trip out.

Last Wednesday a lull in the weather allowed us to steam out to the offshore wrecks. Pollack were plentiful with a few coalies and one codling thrown in. The fishing was consistent, even through slack water, with 5 or 6 fish a drift, on most drifts. A great day's fishing in calm seas and fine weather.
