May Delights !
View Boats Page
Although the weather has been `changeable`, we have still found some great fish lately.
May was a great success even though we had strong North Easterly winds, The rest of the portrush Charter Boats stayed in port for practically the full month but we saw the opportunity for some great fishing and it paid off-
we caught a beautiful 19 lb Bull Huss from Culdaff Bay, along with loads Spurdogs all 6- 14.5lb, some codling and a nice blonde ray!
Our evening mackerel trips over the month of may were productive, great to see lots enthusiastic novice anglers entering our sport!
On the odd days when it has been calm enough to push offshore we have had great results, our wrecking trips produced Quality fish, mainly pollock with a few ling and swarms of coalie
No bullshit, Just results. -

Weather is getting bit more settled and the fishing is better than this time last year with some good Pollack on the wrecks to upper doubles and many in the 8 to 10lb class. If you want a personal best Pollack now is the time to go, before they spawn in April.

I've not got to the middle bank as the weather has been wrong when the tides are right but we'll get there soon!
Another surprise is how good the Mackerel fishing is already.
Looking ahead as the weather warms up we have tope fishing to look forward from late May and I'm also doing a lot more INDIVIDUAL ANGLERS DAYS limited to 8 anglers, These trips will be on the very best tides either wrecking offshore or species hunts in the general direction of Donegal - see my website front page for details and dates.
Hope to see you soon, richard -
