So not a bad first day back at Holyhead, Managed to take advantage of the weather by getting 2 trips in. We ended up for 10 Spurdogs, 20+ Bull huss to 12lb, A few Congers to 28lb, Dabs, Whitings and Dogs.
The weather kept us at anchor throughout the day and night but the fishing was steady and constant.
We have spaces available -
Saturday 17th 7 spaces Spurdogs or Rays
Sunday 18th 7 spaces available
spurdogs or rays
Tuesday 20th Spurdogs or Rays
After the 20th February we won't have anything available until early March, A well needed break to Iceland for myself and the Boss lady ( Jess)

Hi weather is still no good for us at the moment. If had been able to get offshore large shoals of COALFISH on offshore wrecks this time of year along with pollack and cod. Please hold on till weather improves then we shall start in producing good fish Please note my very generous rates unbeatable for this type of fishing you won't be disappointed . Yet again the weather has put the fishing on hold for the time being.
Over the last few days we have caught Cod to 8lb 13oz, Rays to 6lb 13oz, Flounder, Whiting, Dabs and Dogfish. The fishing has been difficult at times both off shore and in the Mersey. Our anglers have still fished hard knowing there is a chance of winning £100 for the first Cod of the day over 10lb and £500 for the first Cod over 20lb. We only have 2 places available next week and our last charter on the Mersey is February 17th.
February
Tuesday 13th Mersey 10.30am sailing 1 place available.
Wednesday 14th Mersey 11am sailing 1 place available.

Plenty of whiting, dogs and small huss, with a few dabs and pout fishing inshore at Holyhead recently. Many of the catches also being supplemented by a good number of coalfish.
Last Sunday, numerous collies in the 1 to 3lb bracket being landed by the crew.
With the fishing on form inshore its always a worry this time of year how the deeper water will produce. Huss can normally be caught inshore but we have to head off a few miles to look for the spurdogs. Being pack fish, they tend to roam the seas eating as they pass through our waters, generally they are in attendance with some days producing more than others.
Last weekend was a good day for all with a good number of spurdogs coming to the boat and Keith recording a new PB of 15lb along with a few others into double figures too.
Such was his reward for bringing along some home cooked delicious steak and mushroom pies for everyone to eat

Exciting news ... With kind permission of the 'Species league'

we will be running two species competition rounds in conjunction with the main league At Rhyl aboard Privateer.
This is a very popular sea league in the south of England and there is more information on their popular web page :)
The dates are both Fridays.
July 13th ( 2pm - 10pm )
October 5th ( 9am - 5pm )
To run in conjunction with the competition dates of the league and will follow their rules and points system.
These matches are great fun and Rhyl with its variety available should be a good venue. If interested please let myself or Ray, at the species league know as both dates are limited to 10 anglers and hopefully will fill fast.

Hi all,
The boat has been out of the water this last 7 days.
She has just undergone her 1st out of water check over, antifouling and polish and all is good.
I'd like to thank my good mates Guy Wrightson, Rich Simpson, Craig Simmonds, Nigel Hall, John Wilford and my lovely partner Val Walker for all their help over the last weekend.
The calendar is fully up to date for you all. Bookings in the Summer competition are starting to go a bit quicker now so if you fancy a go in it drop me a line on here or any of the numbers.
