About the Skipper:

Fishing has been a passion of mine since the age of 8, having spent much of childhood on the water aboard my father's 32 ft Contessa. I purchased my own Dory at the age of 14 and in 2011, I purchased my first charter boat, a 30ft Berry boat. I then advanced onto a Bullet 38ft, which provided speed but not comfort when at anchor in a choppy sea, which is typically characteristic of monohulled boats. I decided I wanted a boat that provides much greater comfort for anglers when in a sea chop and in 2018 I took ownership of 'Ocean Runner' a Brand new Catapult catamaran, which is currently the newest addition to Poole's charter fleet.

This Charter has been listed as Suitable for Diving Trips. Contact the Skipper for full details.

Although, I did not charter with Ryan, we met yesterday. Standing on Poole Quay my wife dropped my car keys into the water! Ryan kindly offered to dive down in his scuba gear in between his charters. What can I say he found them, our hero for the day. Selflessly helping a stranger, just because he could, that says something about then guy in my opinion.

  • 27/03/2023 Fishing Report by Ryan Jones

27 Mar 2023 by Ryan Jones

Managed a day fishing inshore yesterday in pleasant conditions with a couple of Bream caught the first ones for 2023 which is a encouraging sign. Hopefully wont be long before they show up in numbers on our inshore reefs.
The Plaice fishing has started with few boated whilst fishing on the drift and is starting to shape up nicely.

28 Mar 2022 by Ryan Jones

With the weather starting to improve the inshore Plaice fishing has got off to a awesome start with a great stamp of fish in quality condition. Yesterday saw us offshore anchoring with some decent sized congers and our first Tope of the year which is a good sign our summer species are just about to start and in the coming weeks hopefully we see the first of the Bream arrive on the inshore reefs.

  • 20/04/2021 Fishing Report by Ryan Jones

20 Apr 2021 by Ryan Jones

Great start to our season with great plaice fishing to kick start off from Poole, with our best day being over 70+ fish landed with some quality fish for the table and majority returned to fight another day. With the weather getting better and the temperature slowly increasing we have had our first bream of the year and as of next week with the spring tides we should have plenty of bream to catch in the bay.

Some great bass fishing to be had on the big tides at the moment also with good numbers of bream about still. The plaice fishing has got off to a great start finding the bigger plaice in the deeper water banks.
