Brilliant trip to alderney, plenty of flatties, cod, non stop banter !! Top skipper Adi and thanks Jordan for doing filleting.

We had a really fantastic day's fishing. The crew were friendly and particularly helpful. The boat was immaculate with great facilities on board. Jordan makes a makes a great coffee too! Thanks to Adrian and Jordan for a memorable day. We would definitely recommend this charter and would like to go again.

What a fantastic day! Turbot, Plaice, Brill, Black Bream, Tub Gurnard and a Codling! A very hard working and knowledgeable Skipper where nothing was too much trouble! I shall definitely be using Adrian again and may I take this opportunity to thank him personally for providing my Son and I with a very enjoyable, and memorable day out!! many thanks to adrian, who worked extreemley hard to give us a superb day out with plenty of fish on a difficult rainy day. we had some large specimen fish inc: tope conger, bull huss 12lb 4oz bream to 4lb 9oz and various smaller fish. all in all a fantastic day with a top skipper. kind regards wes kelly.

We have just returned from Weymouth after yet another trip on Al's Spirit and it comes as no surprise to us that the day out was absolutely superb in all respects. We are a mixed group of anglers from Reading comprising of gents and ladies of varying ability. We have been using Adrian Brown for years and it is his enthusiasm, knowledge, personality, seamanship skills and above all his excellent way of dealing with all levels of angler that keeps us coming back year after year. Nothing is too much trouble for Adrian and he will spend a lot of time explaining exactly what's needed to maximise the catch on the day. His knowledge of the fishing marks in the area is spot on and he will ensure that wherever he recommends to fish will have the potential. It's up to you listen to his advice, concentrate on your fishing and the chances are you'll have a great day's catch. An excellent example of this was our last trip. We came back with a boatload of cod, pollack and bass - we know other boats returned with a lot less fish. If the fish are there, Adrian will put you right over them. What puts Adrian apart from the majority of skippers is that he genuinely wants you to have the best day out he can provide, given the conditions on the day. We have found this is not the case on all charter boats. Every sea angler who has been fishing charter boats for a few years will have stories of skippers who simply motor out, stop the boat and just sit in the wheelhouse to let you get on with it. Adrian however will take you straight to a mark that he knows, through years of experience, will be most likely to hold fish. Once the engines stop, he's straight out and will be walking around the boat ensuring that everyone is using the right tackle, the correct bait and the best methods to maximise the catch. And although Adrian's concern for his customer's enjoyment shows in his professional attitude, his sense of humour and easy going character will make the day a pleasure. All in all, we cannot recommend Adrian highly enough. Whether you are an experienced angler or a complete beginner, he will ensure that you'll have a great day aboard Al's Spirit.

I have recently returned to sea fishing after a long break. I used to go with my Dad when I was a nipper and the memories of those times has never disappeared. The main differences is that the fishing technology and equipment has adavnced immensely. I was introduced to Adrian by a friend of mine who I had'nt seen for ages who I subsequently discovered was a mental spencer for sea fishing as well, so we decided to get a regular crew up and running. Nigel (my buddy) had used to go with a regular crew but recent bad experiences had convinced him to start afresh. He had a little test trip with Adrian and although the weather on that particular day was against them,his fishing "sixth sense" told him Adrian was the way to go.And boy was he right. For a start,this guy is a BIG unit ,but light on his feet, and not your salty old sea dog tramp type skipper.ALWAYS on his boat before we arrive, and his boat is spacious and immaculately presented,and has excellent facilities.His piloting and manouvreing skills are superb,and when wrecking has pinpoint accuracy,taking into account all factors of tide,drift wind speed. He will give you the optimum position for fishing on the boat,so as to avoid annoying tackle tangles, and is constantly updating instructions of wreck hazards via the sonar.He will offer firm but welcome advice in relation to bait movement presentation and optimum bait preferences,To a relevant novice,this information is essential,but even experienced anglers will find this information a goldmine. let's not forget that Adrian does this for a living and so has a vast wealth of experience and knowledge.My personal take on his advice is when he talks I listen,and as a result my catch rate has increased tenfold.He is very understanding of novices,and is exceptionally capable of handling a boatful of experienced anglers who know their stuff,but who I feel confident will still learn something new from Adrian.He has a great personality and gets along with the many personalities that grace his boat,all the time maintaining a professional level.He is not in it purely for the money,it is very important to him to ensure you have a fair and successfuls days fishing and maintain his superb reputation.If you want to go for a particular species,Adrian will be brutally honest of your choice on that day,and will advise you on the best course of action.He will do his utmost to locate fish for you. So ,what I am saying is I thoroughly reccomment the guy.He will do his utmost to ensure your day out is as good as it can be,and my way of thanking him is please give him a try and respect the man and his boat.
