This was my first experience of sea fishing from a boat and I have to say a BIG thank-you to Andy who run the trip and also thank-you to the others who were on the boat with us, I had a great evening everyone was very friendly and helpful, and at no point was I made to feel ridiculed or uneasy being the only woman. I will certianly be booking again, Thank-you once again to all involved.xx
Skippers Reponse: Hi Caroline

Had a great day out today aboard Sea Juicer. Fishing primarily for Blonde Rays, we'd managed to boat 20 in the first 3 hours, as well as mt first ever Undulate (been after 1 for 20 years) and a few hounds in the 5-7lb region. Repositioned for the flood tide, and when it finally arrived we hooked into some more blonde and undulate rays, the blondes going to 26lb and the undulates to 19lb, including a very rare catch of 2 undulates on 1 line with neither hooked and whilst mating! Was a fantastic day out on a top boat with a top skipper, couldnt recommend him highly enough
Skippers Reponse: Cheers jim
nice to see you get your first undulates today & a few good size blondes to go with them . Next target your Bull Huss -

I had a great day out with Rob on Seajuicer , thanks to his friendly advice I caught a lovely 12lb Cod which will very shortly be served up with chips & peas. Look forward to another trip soon. Barry Edwards , Brentwood S.A.C

First trip out this year, 2013 and the anticipation was hugh. We drew positions and set off. Dropped anchor and soon had a number of sizable Blonde Rays on board. Some were a few pounds and discreetly returned. Other were double figures up to 25lbs. Slack water we moved a mile to another bank ready for the flood. The flood didn't produce though we left with smiles on our faces well pleased with day's fishing. Thanks to the Skipper and all hoped it was a good omen for the season to come.

Smallish tides and calm seas saw us travelling some distance offshore in the Solent to fish for Cod and Conger. Cod and Conger we had in abundance. x8 Cod to the boat with a personal best of x4 Cod. Cracking day with all the usual jovial banter from an ace skipper, Rob Hickin.
Skippers Reponse: Thanks Lee always good to see someone get a personal best & 4 cod in 4 drops very Impressive, its a shame you lost your fifth one

as always good times! ive been fishing with rob for over 2 years now and cant fault the boat or skipper! rob always tries hard to find the fish and more often than not catches when other boats are struggling. i strongly recommend anyone looking for a boat trip to book with rob. you will not be dissapointed!

Had a great day on Sunday with Rob on Seajuicer. It was our monthly competition which we always fish from Seajuicer and along with the perfect weather conditions we had an great days fishing. Several species of Rays were caught, of which my impressive 23lb Blonde was the heaviest and that helped me win this months comp, so thanks for that Rob!! Smoothounds also joined in for the days sport along with numerous smaller species. Its so refreshing to have a skipper who is not afraid to try different marks throughout the day to make sure that everyone gets the best out of their day on board. It was also good to see that any fish that werent destined for the dinner table were returned alive and well. Cheers for a brilliant day Rob & we are all looking forward to our next trip.

I go charter fishing, on average, once a month and only go with Rob. Why you might ask? Well I want an experienced and committed skipper who knows the area and is always willing to give advice so there is no need to go with anyone else. Rob seems to attract a wide range of individual bookings who are willing to share their experience as well as their jokes. Rob does not suffer fools but allows me to go! Rob is also fully aware of financial restraints and his rates are very competitive. I am not the world's greatest angler but have. with Rob's help caught decent sized conger, cod, whiting, bream, smoothound, tope, rays as well as my fair share of dogfish. If you can accept that there will be talk of Pompey Football Club as well as fishing then you will not be disappointed although. of course, word gets around and you need to book well ahead.
