Another excellent day aboard the Mistress with Rich. We took over 55 cod between 3 of us uptiding with a good number between 4-6lb. Will be back soon. Thanks again Rich

Another good day out with Rich at short notice because of the weather. I really struggled to catch anything at first - while everyone else was reeling them in! After 90 minutes all I'd had was a few tentative bites. I decided not to mess about any more and next tiny bite I wound down and struck - finish on! I did gone same and had four cod in 15 minutes! Things slowed down for me but I kept 7 cod and returned a few more and some whiting. Can't wait for next time!

Our final trip on the Mistress for 2015 and what a trip Rich identified a window in the weather and yes you've got it he put us straight on the fish. Uptiding was the order of the day Rich keeping right on the fish with a couple of short relocation and as always advise on hand, be it technique, bait, rig set up, listen to this skipper and you’ll be going home with a bag full. Over the last 12 month we have been out at Whitby on the Mistress all year and found Rich to be consistently hard working helpful a very knowledgeable skipper and fisherman. found a break in the weather and got out uptiding, had another great day to say the tide was so low, finished with 45lb of cod one whiting, and put 7 back, cheers rich good day.

first time this winter uptiding and a cracking start had 52lb of cod best 2 going 7lb &8lb rich and alex both had cod over 11lb great day out cheers again rich.tony barrett

Rich saved the day by organising an early evening trip and what a trip! over 70 cod on board between 5 fishing with many more returned. Thanks, look forward to next one. Charles, Harrogate.

Top Effort from Rich! Uptiding was the order of the day due to poor weather tom push off to the wrecks. Once at anchor the fish started taking the cocktails we put down for them, a couple of 7lb Cod, two of us catching two fish on one rig. Rich gave it every effort as always and we had a cracking day. Don't think Whitby has nothing to offer out of wreck season. Get booked to go uptiding with Mistress. You won't be disappointed.

Another lovely day with Rich and Mistress! We went out a long way to find some fish, the first couple of wrecks were disappointing (by Mistress standards) but after a few more miles Rich found us a "cod nest" as he calls them. I went from having one fish in my box to 15 by the time we left that wreck - some of the guys had over 20 each. Lovely to meet Alex again - Rich's part-time deck hand - who was on hand to help with any tangles and to offer tips and advice to any less experienced anglers. I've ben out on Mistress about 20 times now I reckon and don't bother going if Rich is booked up and I can't go with him - that says it all I think!

Had another trip on Mistress and once again Rich Cope gave the anglers a fantastic days sport, after a long run out to the 20 mile mark it was none stop action from the first drop down to when he called time there must have been 400 or more cod on board and a few pollock thrown in for good measure plus a lot of smaller cod went back to fight another day. Rich always tries hard to get amongst the fish and this day was no exception. Thanks.....see you again soon.
