Another brilliant days fishing on the High Flyer. Despite tons of weed I still managed 19 keeper codling, took a while to fillet but all the family are happy with fresh cod for tea. Great day, plenty of tea and banter. Yet again Jon put us on the fish even in difficult conditions. Going to have to buy the met folk new anemometers, theirs seem to be reading really low!!

Skippers Reponse: Dont mention the MET Office Paul, given up on them. Least we survived the wind that wasnt forcast not sure about all that weed! Great day, cheers Paul.

What a great way to bring the new year in, Had a great trip out with Jon on the High Flyer, on 31st Dec, Jon is a first class skipper at offering help and tips to us who us who are not so expert, and certainly the reason i book on the high flyer, most skippers may stick to the warmth of the cabin, not Jon, he was out giving me some up tide tips which soon put me onto a few codling, thanks Jon,also thanks to Dave for your help, great set of lads plenty of banter on board, lovely hot soup from Jon, even a free firework display thrown in, and the codling tasted superb wrapped in my special beer batter. We would like too thank Jon and Dave for a very pleasant and fun day.The weather was a strong westerly but as Jon had told us this only laid the sea flat and wad little trouble just mrsnt fishing close in..Caught fish from the off mostly whiting but with the odd cod too keep us interested .Jon was very helpful with those of us who needed help and actually turned Neil into the new Matt Hayes with just two minutes instruction.So all in all a very enjoyable with both Jon and Dave making everybody feel welcome and well looked after.We will definitely be back in the New Year.See you soon

Every thing in favour (tide /wind etc)for a good evenings fishing ,skipper once again put us in touch with the fish ,first cast a nice codling ,steady catch though out the evening of whiting and codling.lovely to eat fresh fish, thanks Jon, see you again soon. Len.

Weather and tides finally combined to allow a great evening trip out on the High Flyer. Brilliant evening, plenty of fish on board, the codling were typically nice sized keepers rather than the borderline fish of late. Cant believe how quickly the time went. Great evenings fishing, thanks Jon, looking forward to the next trip

Had a great days fishing, although the fish were not biting to begin with, Jon the skipper tried numerous spots until he got us catching fish, codling, pouting, whiting, flatties and rays. For the price of an all day trip aboard the High flyer was exceptionally cheap considering the tea, coffee, chocolate bars and the choice of soup (some i've never heard of). Jon the skipper gave excellent advice to those that had little or no experiance in boat fishing, I had caught no fish until I took Jon's advice, I changed my rig and then I started to catch fish beating Ed, Unlucky Ed. The banter aboard the high flyer was entertaining, never a dull moment which made the 10 pax aboard all gel together.......Jon, you have a natural ability to gel people together, thank you for an excellent day aboard the high flyer. I'll be booking you in the new year, Panky

Had a great day out on Saturday the 11th of October with with John on the High Flyer My first time out with the skipper with my Dad. My dad says Jon is one of the best skippers he has been out with and he has been out many times with different skippers from all over the UK . He was helpful and and provided a good flow of drinks chocolate biscuits and top cup a soups,The boat was clean, fast and plenty of space for everyone. We had a steady stream of fish all day. The company and banter was great all day it was a shame that Dave kept having to show Jon what cod looked like!!! A first class day and for sure we will be back again thanks a ton Jon and look forward to next time. If you get the chance book up with Jon you will not be disappointed.
