Jon runs a First Class charter boat, he has excellent local knowledge of where to fish depending on sea and weather conditions. Although the Cod were a bit sparse we all had at least two each plus a few Gurnard, Weavers, Pouting, Ling and a couple of Dabs. We drifted between slack water and pulled in a couple of hundred Mackeral. Jon looked after our spiritual need by continually praying for a good catch. He fed us excellent bacon rolls, chocolate biscuits and plenty of hot drinks. A good day out and highly recommended. Ady

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Ady, i was praying for Mackerel! Enjoyed the day, appreciate you coming. Jon.

A really enjoyable trip, skipper was a laugh and knew plenty of good fishing spots. Unfortunately, not too many catches for us but didn't mar what was a great experience. Intending to head out again with him at some point in the future and hopefully add a few more catches!

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Alan, next time your uptiding, will make your arms ache! Thanks for a great day with the lads. Jon.

Due to strong winds and rough seas we could not get to where we wanted to fish so fishing was a little dissapointing but still managed to have a good time and catch some fish on which was a tough day fishing. Id just like to say that Jon the skipper made the day for me he was always cracking a laugh and looked after all on the boat, and his bacon sarnies were to die for!! But most of all we still caught some good fish in what was very tough conditions. Would recommend to anyone.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Malcom ,was a hard day ,this is supposed to be summer!!!!!! Thanks to all on the trip much appreciated. Jon.

Beautiful evening, sea flat calm with no wind and lots of sun. Murky water stopped the mackrel taking feathers but we had dogs and smoothhounds and a number of whiting (still here??!!). All in all a great evening and Jon, as always, kept the tea and snacks coming with plenty of banter and help to all aboard.

Skippers Reponse: Best weather for months!! Hoped to have more fish on board must admit, someones had all the skate! Enjoyed the evening good bunch of lads, thanks to everyone. Jon.

Weather against us all day, wind probably made the drifts too fast for the fish to bite, we had a few fish culminating in Chris's nice 20lb Tope just after I had lost one on a good run, despite this the spcoes count was 7 for the day and Jon tried really hard for us.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Ian, was a right testing day, thanks to lads ,least the tope made the day ,better weather next time i hope. jon.

Excellent day out plenty of activity with the Mackerel shoals, jon is an excellent skipper and knows where to head for the fish, conditions were not the best with a lot of rain and the wind getting up later in the day.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Paul was an enjoyable day despite the rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great day out with probably the best skipper that I been fishing with. The day threw up challenging conditions that prevented Jon being able to take us where he would have wanted to be. However, Jon's experience and local knowledge paid dividends as Jon took us to a sheltered mark where all of the lads were able to catch fish. Our party was one of varying fishing experience and Jon gave the time and help to those who needed it. Thanks for a great day out Jon.

Skippers Reponse: Big thanks to Jeremy for organizing the trip, despite the weather conditions all the lads coped well, hope we can get out next time to where we want. Thanks again men

Fantastic day enjoyed by all. All aboard caught some nice fish in tough conditions due to being in-between seasons, but Jon did his best to find where the fish were, and importantly to keep the boat comfortable for us, as for most of the lads this was a first attempt at sea fishing.Pleant of bait available, as were tea/coffee and bacon rolls. Many Thanks Jon for a great day, and we all hope to see you again in the near future.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Matt, you earned your sea legs! Be good to see you guys again, thanks for coming out. Jon.

A most wonderful day spent on High Flyer. The weather was very sunny and hardly any wind, temperature up to 14.c. A few Dabs and the odd whiting came aboard but no Bass yet. Jon the skipper kept us topped up with tea and coffee plus the lovely bacon and mushroom roll. Thanks. Richard Codling

Skippers Reponse: Thank you Richard and all the lads at Network Rail, was a hard day on those strong tides, hope to see you all again, had a great day in all. Good bunch of lads!!
