Rang up and spoke to Jon. A truly very helpful chap!! Explained everything and answered all questions.. Brilliant day with Martin as skipper.. very well organised, plenty of info, good fishing. Bass, rays, smoothhound shark, whiting and spotted dog fish, all caught! Saw the seals, that came up to the boat! Plenty of help available for all fishermen! Nothing was too much for the skipper! Great banter, great atmosphere, great bacon butties!! Tea/coffee at the ready with chocy biscuits for the well behaved (aka - everyone) Can’t recommend highly enough! Certainly a trip that would suit anyone - experienced or not!!! I have Booked another trip with 5 others already! Looking forward to another fantastic and rewarding day out!!

2nd trip since lock down. Limited number on boat due to social distancing so even more space than usual. Started on bass bank in a bit of sea mist but only one bass and one Joey mackerel landed.. When tide turned we moved to another spot and almost immediately we were into smooth hounds, starry smooth hounds , doggies and one dab and only one whiting. One very decent bass was lost on the surface next to the boat. Bad luck Martin! The mist cleared and the sun shone. It was much warmer than last Sunday. All in all a very good day.
Skippers Reponse: Thanks for review John, be glad to get back to normal times! Fog a pain always hope Martin didnt swear losing decent fish!!! Cheers mate

Lovely weather flat calm sea. Best day of the week. Fishing a little bit slow but three thornbacks to 7lbs landed and returned. Two decent bass to 5.5lbs roll on 1st March and one cod . Whiting and dab made up the day. As usual plentiful tea and biscuits .
Skippers Reponse: Nice to see the bass this early John hoping the roker stay be a good season this year. Thanks for coming out mate. Cheers Jon (High Flyer 2)

Another good day out on Highflyer 2. 9 thornbacks landed and retuned. Unusual for January. Martin skipper today showed us all how it’s done and caught couple of keeper codling about time, as well as pouting and a spotty dog another surprise for January. Sea was flat calm with plenty of tea and bacon butties a good day all round
Skippers Reponse: Good day all round John many thanks for review hopefully be able to join you guys soon. Leave me something to catch"! Cheers Jon (High Flyer 2")

Family outing consisting of my dad, stepdad, stepbro and myself (yes, I know). 2 experienced and 2 newbies out for the day. Martin was an excellent skipper. Chatty, funny and knew his way around a kettle! Endless bags of rich, sugary goodies and homemade cakes his wife had made, made for a pleasant and hyperactive day. A very well equipped boat. I can't say I've ever been charter fishing when you can sit down on a padded bench and watch your rod... It was like Cunard, I tell you. Professional rod rests, so your precious isn't swept away by the one that got away. There was 6 on the boat (7 including the skipper) and there was plenty of room. I didn't notice anyone getting tangled up with anyone else. A few birds nests from the newbies. Seals sighted during a beautiful sunset, made for a very pleasant day. Unfortunately, the big Cod Martin ordered didn't show up, but there was a plethora of Whiting, a November Skate, a small dab (or flounder), I couldn't tell, it was teeny. Even a couple of Codling. No shopping trollies or C&A bags insight. I'm used to pee'ing off the front of boats, but High Flyer 2 had a very nice toilet to attend to after the 2 dozen cups of tea I sank. Extremely good value for money for a full days fishing. All of the aforementioned was included within the price and bait also! Rag/lug/and frozen baits (a bit cold for feathering for anything at that time of year). Martin was well experienced & knowledgeable. A safety briefing before setting off and endless laughs throughout the day.
I will definitely be back.
Thank you, we all had a cracking day!Skippers Reponse: Many thanks Drew for review its much appreciated, glad you enjoyed the day hope to see you guys again soon. Cheers Bud. Jon (High Flyer 2)
