Great days fishing. Unfortunately the Tope didn’t show but we still caught mackerel, sand eels, gurnard, weevers, dog fish, smooth hounds, whiting and a silver eel. Thanks Jon, can’t wait for the next trip.

Skippers Reponse: Still a bit early for tope i think we all came to conclusion, nice to see some mackerel, good day though Paul enjoyed it. Cheers mate

Brilliant days fishing. Conditions far from perfect but Jon got us on the fish safely minimising the effect of the choppy seas. I caught 7 smoothies, 6 doggies, a couple of whiting and 2 large starfish! Tea and banter flowed smoothly all day. Can’t wait for the next trip.

Skippers Reponse: Bit of a lumpy one Paul to say the least dont mention the wet ride home, thought we done well for the conditions. Worked out not a bad day. Thanks Paul good to see you. Jon

Just a few lines to thank John Old and for the first time for me his new High Flyer 2 which I must say is a huge improvement on High Flyer 1. We fished from the back which was comfortable for 4 to fish although after 8 hours the seats are a bit of a bum numer and a bit high. But if its negatives your looking for that's it. As we were in for yet again a wonderful day fishing. It was 8.30 the 21st as we
left the harbour knowing high tide was around 11.30. We anchored up in one of John's spots and were soon into the fish with some doggies and whitting. The boat had 10 aboard 3 of which were young boys around 11-13 which is great to see. And with John's excellent help they were soon catching to. The main thing we went for (Skate) turned up for my mate Peter about a half hour before high tide. A lovely 6lb Male. Unfortunately we were soon close to slack water so decided to move. We were going to go after some bass but the fog had rolled in so stayed in shore. A hour after the ebb started I was lucky enough to get a 3 1/2lb Female which was returned safe and sound. The tide being a large springer became really to strong to keep the bait nailed to the deck so we decided to head for home. But a great day out a good few fish. Plenty of sun and more Tea and Biscuits than we could coup with. Thanks John great day as always and let's hope we can get after them Bass soon. Many Thanks. Chris Carter and the boys

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Chris glad you like new boat sounds like i better buy sum cushions! Not a bad day in all was great to have flat calm shame about the fog. Look forward to seeing you guys again at some point. Cheers Jon
