Charter Boat: Sweet William
Boat and Skipper Details
Sweet William is a brand new 10 metre by 4 metre catamaran, built and fitted out by the skipper himself, and first launched in late 2021.
There is ample deck space and Sweet William provides a clean, fast and stable platform from which to enjoy a coastal sightseeing trip, enjoy a day's angling, launch a drone / for photography sunrise and sunset trips, or to scatter the ashes of a loved one. We also arrange upriver cruises to the Newcastle Quayside and can request the Gateshead Millennium Bridge to be opened for us when we arrive; perfect for a graduation celebration or a children's birthday party etc.
The boat is equipped with a full Furuno electronics package comprising the latest navigational and electronic aids, including a state of the art Furuno / WASSP F3 multi beam sonar to provide real time 3D images of the wrecks and seabed.
Sweet William is built and certified to the highest Seafish / MCA commercial specifications, and additionally RYA coded as both a light workboat and an angling vessel permitted to carry up to 12 passengers and 2 crew. Sweet William's crew are both fully qualified commercial skippers, and the vessel and all passengers are covered with fully comprehensive insurance.
Evening trips from 5:00pm to 9:00pm approximately £40 per person / £400 to charter the full boat.
Full day trips from 7:00am to 4:00pm approximately £70 per person / £700 to charter the full boat.
Personally tailored timings and packages are always accommodated, and a discount may be negotiated based on a single party wishing to charter the full boat.

I’ve been out with Geoff and 1st man Henry on several occasions last year and this is honestly the best boat I’ve been on and I’ve been on lots from Whitby,Redcar,Hartlepool and Sunderland and this is my 1st and only choice from now on.Incredible boat and sonar helps Geoff put you bang over the wreck and
“almost “ guarantees you fish if their on the feed.
There’s not many boats that offer a clean toilet onboard and also crisps,Sandwiches and tea and coffee on slack water when the fish tend to go off the feed until the tide changes.I can recommend Sweet William for beginners and experts alike……10/10 all the way for me

Fishing Report by Geoff Sharp
30 Jun 2024 by Geoff Sharp
Massive thanks to John for organising a thoroughly enjoyable run out yesterday.
We headed out to a wreck first thing to pick up some mackerel, but found it to be on the wrong side of windy and choppy for the party aboard. We had reliable intel from Keith Armstrong who was out with his son on his SIB, fishing the inner rough grounds, that it was a fish a drop.
We immediately headed off, and found lovely calm waters, protection from the wind, and endless Mackerel, Codling to 7 lb, Whiting, Pouting, and small Ling for sport for the remainder of the day.
Hopefully everyone had a safe road trip back to Manchester last night and enjoys their catch. -

It was a slow start to the day; the mackerel were fairly patchy in the morning but we finally got enough for bait.
There were fish pretty much everywhere we went but not in huge quantities. The stamp of the fish made up for it with a 22 lb Ling coming aboard, a 12.5 lb Pollack and a lovely clean Sprag well into double figures.
Once again the guys fished hard until the last drop. -

We had a glorious run out today, with minimal wind and flat seas.
The lads found themselves a cracking stamp of Codling, Ling and some chunky Coalies with plenty of Mackerel for sport.
Great banter all day with everyone fishing hard until the last drop. -

The objective last Sunday was to find the Mackerel, which we did (it hasn't been that easy lately as they have been fairly patchy).
A good stamp of Codling, Ling, Pollack, Haddock, Pouting and Whiting also came aboard during the course of the day. -

We had a trip out today which started slowly, but culminated into a fantastic run in the sun!
With some perseverance we found a great stamp of Pollock, Codling, smaller Ling, finally located a shoal of Mackerel, and plenty of Whiting, Coalies, Pouting and Wrasse.
