APRIL will soon be upon us and in April you can expect to see catches of Turbot and Brill on the Famous Shambles Bank and now is the time for that BIG TURBOT. Plaice will feature on the mussell beds and although they are a bit thin at this time of the year there is still a good chance of 5Ib plus fish like the one pictured.
..The Reefs and Banks will produce Blonde and Undulate Rays along with Spurdogs,Bull Huss,Smooth Hounds, Congers etc and may be some Black Bream . The Wrecks should be good for Pollack, Ling and a Cod or two..

    Report on-board Out The Blue

Good start to the spring season after being beaten up for the last few months by gale force 6 and 7's sneaking up behind us. A trip out with my Polish friends yesterday, and a north-easterly 5 down to nothing in the afternoon, with blinding sunshine and flat sea. All topped off with some quality fish ... plenty of Ling, Cod, Pollock, Coalfish and Whiting. Let's hope this is a sign of good things to come!

    Tight lines everyone!

  • 03/2015 Fishing Report by Colin Penny on Flamer IV (Weymouth, Dorset)

    Report on-board Flamer IV

TOP COD - I had a bus mans holiday, by which I mean I went fishing for a day.Dave Gibson skipper of the Meer- Kat who is retiring soon invited myself and Andy Collings out for a few hours fishing which was really enjoyable. The fishing was a bit quiet but we had some nice Spur dogs along with the usual Dogfish and Whiting also a small Turbot But the catch of the day was the 20Ib Cod I caught on a Squid and Mackerel cocktail bait presented on a pennel rig of Sakuma Stinger hooks. I filleted the Cod and gave it to Dave thus doing my bit for "Help The Aged", "Well he is going to be a poor old pensioner soon".

  • 12/03/2015 Fishing Report by Philip Higgins on Mistress Linda / San Gina3 (Poole, Dorset)

12 Mar 2015 by Philip Higgins

    Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3

Welcome to my 1st report of the 2015 season and the major change for me this season is that after a few years break I am returning to chartering FULL TIME and will be available for midweek and evening trips starting after Easter, with the fishing season about to come alive with the return of the sporting Black Bream, prized Turbot and Bass along with Cod and Pollack from the offshore marks please give me a call for good prices on midweek trips. I am starting to compile a singles database if you wish to be added to that list for available spaces please email me your details with the heading singles I will ensure you are kept up to date, these dates will also appear on my Facebook page and CBUK .
Since my last report the offshore banks have fished extremely well for Spurdogs and Rays with fish in the 20lb class on both species, one angler broke his PB Spurdog 3 times on the same trip. I hope you take the opportunity to come and fish aboard the Mistress Linda this season.
Poole Town Quay is to receive extensive flood defence work lasting approx 13 weeks at the eastern end (opposite Thistle Hotel area) and pick up points will vary so please confirm with whoever you are fishing with. Sea Fishing Poole is to be temporarily relocated outside of the Poole Quay boat haven entrance directly opposite Tesco express and the Quay Cafe (which serves a cracking breakfast for those of you who want to take advantage before the trip starts) Steve and his team are dedicated to remaining open for your last minute tackle and bait requirements
Hope to see you onboard soon
