hi happy new year to everyone. the fishing off amlwch during 2018 was very good with exceptional fishing on the wrecks many double figure Pollack as per catch photos and not too far away. The tope fishing this year has been remarkable with the amount of them. Multiple amounts caught on many days. also these were caught very close in making very good sport on windy days . The 65lbs one along with others was caught 300 yards from the shore. Please ring early to book and get good fishing and wreck fishing at a reasonable rate. all the best ROY

Fishing Report by Scott Belbin
on Galloper (Brightlingsea, Essex)
Dec 2018 by Scott Belbin
Report on-board Galloper
The weather has been kind to us over the Christmas break and we have been able to get several trips out. the milder weather over recent weeks means the fish are feeding well and have moved back inshore again so there has been plenty to catch. Trips in the river have seen good numbers of dabs and whiting on the slacker tides with thorn-backs and the odd codling coming out too. A charity competition in the river saw several double figure thorn-backs along with plenty of whiting, dabs and even a codling to win the prize for the biggest cod. Further down we have seen good numbers of most fish. I headed out the day after boxing day with 3 lads aboard to make the most of the weather. we had loads of whiting and dogfish (dogfish are always a sign of higher water temperature) along with 28 thorn-backs, a pouting and a nice plump codling for Andy. Today we even had a stray school bass!
View Boats Page
Last year January and February saw our best numbers of codling so lets hope 2019 follows suit.
With 2019 in mind if you wish to book specific trips such as offshore ones for spurdog, tope, bass ect please try and book well in advance as these often require certain tides and weekends are starting to fill up.
I have plenty of space into the start of the year and with plenty of fish around there’s every reason to get afloat so for more information, weekly reports and available dates please visit www.essexseafishing.co.uk

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Well happy new year to you all from the High Flyer 2. As always we hope for a better year was quite testing at times 2018 with mackerel being scarce, easterly winds constantly in the summer, only a few tope boated this year as well, the lack of cod here on the east coast and the warm water we have had to deal with quite alot so big thank you to all the anglers who have persevered with it and supported us throughout the year. On the plus side 2018 had us in the Sea Angler twice with 17lb 9oz thornback our best to date and a 18lb smoothound also a boat record for us , millions of sandeels on the feathers plus some nice gurnards which seem to be making a comeback. The thornbacks this year were in abundance very few kept well done for the conservation guys and they lasted right through till december due to warm water i suppose. Looking ahead still struggling with the cod this end at the moment but that could all change the few we caught i havent bothered putting up all within the 2/3lb mark and returned to grow and the thousands of whitting just dont make a photograph! Keep in mind those small wrecking tides and get your date booked in early saves disappointment will drifting some distant banks soon as water clears keep eye out for specialist trips along with our tope specials that everyone loves lets hope we have a better season all round god knows we deserve it! Until then hope the hangover fades and the chocolates have all been eaten and get back to normality website up to date will be pleased to see you at some point. Happy New Year to you all. Report on-board Shy-Torque III
Hi everyone. Hope you all had a cracking Xmas and may we wish everyone a very healthy and Happy New Year.
View Boats Page
The last trip aboard the Shy-Torque in 2018 went very well indeed with perfect conditions helping too.
A fabulous forecast enabling us to have a run out beyond the 20 mile with the mixed group of lads on board.
I won't mention numbers of fish but if I honestly said that on one of the marks for about an hour it was literally like winding the clock back 35 years!! Superb fishing with lovely plump winter cod and ling. Rods bending all round the boat on every drift. Great fun!!
Enjoy the rest of the holidays and give me a ring for any trips you fancy in 2019.
Cheers and best wishes
Rich

We would like to wish all of our friends and customers a very happy New Year. 2018 started well for us catching a 16lbs 2 oz Cod in the Mersey in March we had some good days on the wrecks which produced Cod and pollack to 9lbs we switched our style of fishing to species hunts which 1 day produced 21 species.and put a Daiwa Kensaki rod up as a prize for the most species
We then started on the Tope we had some fantastic days with up to 24 fish on the boat with the smallest being 28lbs up to 55lbs although some guys lost bigger fish.
See are pics o n catch photo's not bad hey up to 21 species in a day Tope up to 55lbs Cod up to 16lbs 2oz on a boat that's in liverpool 52 weeks of the year. Happy New year Tight lines Gary and the Team -

That's us all done for 2018..

I would like to give a huge thanks to all whom have fished with us throughout 2018, Supported us through a very difficult start with the loss of Holyhead Marina and our boat's.
As a hole, we have had some great fishing this year! The wrecks fished like we've never seen before with huge amounts of 8-12lb Pollack. Our best session was done in a meer 2hrs, 14 drifts for 97 Pollack and 9 Ling to 15lb.
The Tope fishing was great with 6 going over 60lb to the boat, followed by massive shoals of Spurdogs boating 150+ in a 2hr anchor sessions.
As we look on to 2019, we have some great plans and expeditions to try put our anglers on the fish once again.
Tight lines to everyone, skippers and clients alike.
