Our anglers have had a pretty successful few days here at Whitby, as the fishing remains pretty damn good!

We've lost a few days to bad weather again, but looking ahead to the next week we should get tuesday through to friday with availability each day. Plus we'll be sneaking another night trip in outside of the competition!
In the current Whitby Sea Anglers Forum Uptide Festival thats running just now, Mistress anglers are faring quite well with the heaviest fish and heaviest bag to our name at the minute. Its still wide open though and weights easily beatable!
Top baits have been Unwashed Squid, Black Lugworm and crab cart,
peeler crab also worked very well for one gent this week with him bagging 20 cod to take home
Martin at Whitby Angling Supplies (Next to Mr Chips on Church Street) is sponsoring this event, so if you need anything tackle or bait wise please use him where you can, he can put pre-order packages together for you so you save time on a morning 01947 603855 give him a call!
So if you're interested in joining us for a days fishing whether you're a novice or experienced youll recieve a warm welcome, give me call on 07977 436903 or message me here on Facebook

Report on-board My Way 2
Fishing aboard My Way on 30th Oct was hectic in the the small window of settled weather Monday brought after the high winds of the weekend. After the glorious calm start to the day, we had a great few hours inshore catching a variety of species, dogs, whiting, huss, dabs etc.

By lunch time the winds had increased as forecast, fortunately the lumpy see only lasted an hour and the tide turned to flood with the wind direction. The spurdogs started to hit the baits as soon as they touched the bottom of the 220ft depth we were fishing. Plenty in the 6-8lb mark with a good number also into double figures.
With 5 lads fishing there was also a space for me to have a go myself, managing to connect with 7 spurs and also dropping a few during our anchor time.
Plenty of fish and a good laugh with a great crew

Weymouth Angling Breaks - Book Now, Don't miss Out,*** NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR 2018 ***
A few days away fishing out of Weymouth along with the social side is a nice trip to do.The variety of fishing and the amount of different species caught at Weymouth is probably second to none. There are plenty of places to stay which are angler friendly and some excellent places to wine and dine around the harbour and in Weymouth Town centre.
If you want to try a Weymouth Angling Break then contact me, I cater for whole boat charters and individuals.
Planning your trip well in advance is essential you need to arrange your boat booking and your accommodation as early as possible to avoid disappointment, some of my regular groups plan their trips at least 12 months in advance, this allows them to discuss with me the best tides for the type of fishing they are targeting. -

Report on-board Lucky Dip II
The weather has made getting the boat out fishing really difficult, but when we do get out the fishing has been of the wall!!! Lots of large Spurs were around until September with several over the 20lb mark and at least three of nearly 25lb ( the current Scottish record is 20lb 6oz ), lots of big tope are still showing as are large numbers of large skate with a very large one lost today(8/11/2017) . Plenty of other fish are still around for the catching so we just need the weather to sort itself out.

First uptiding trip of 2017 for the Shy-Torque on Monday. Fishing was steady all day for Dave, Arthur and Roy.
The lads boated some 70+ fish for the day. They returned 25 or so of their catch which were takeable but only just on the measure. The rest of the catch were anything from 2 lb to Arthur's heaviest at around 6 lb.
A great days sport for the lads and good conditions too. Sorry for forgetting the sugar this time Arthur!! It will be on board for your next trip. Promise!!
Have a look on the calendar if you fancy an inshore trip at anchor.

Cheers
