Pure Fishing Smoothhound Challenge 2015
In its 5th year, the My Way Smoothhound Challenge has become a hugely successful event. Having been generously supported in recent years by Fladen UK, the 5 day event in 2015 changed sponsors. Worldwide tackle giants Pure Fishing My Ways official sponsors came onboard with GO Angling offering entrants a chance to win a Penn Squall 15 sized reel with Shakespeare Agility 12lb boat rod by catching the heaviest smoothhound during their day afloat.
Unlike last year when all 5 days of the even including evening trips ran unhindered, the 2015 event was to be blighted by poor weather. this left many days and evenings being rescheduled well into June. Never the less, on the days we managed to get afloat, the anglers saw many hounds being caught. Winners of each day coming up trumps with hounds in the high teens, with a couple twenty pounders with the best falling to Llandudno anglers David Craddock with a fin specimen of 23lb 40z.
With over 200 hounds landed ranging from 5lb to 23lb and countless dropped, the event was a raging success yet again. Dates will soon be available for 2016. 5 full days and 4 evening trips, keep an eye on our website or Facebook page for further detials

had County SaC over the weekend and still plenty of codling and haddock but not in same numbers...also herring , gurnard,coalie, Pollack and a 2.5lb lobster along with plenty of doggies
water clarity not so good on these massive tides.....wonder if that affected the fishing? View Boats Page

Right guys a few dates available mid July when I'm back from wind farm duties.
Fishing on the channel wrecks is going well with lots of Pollack to 13lb and a few Cod starting to show.
Bream will be making an appearance in the next couple of weeks around Caernarfon Bay area along with the large amounts packs of Tope that are already showing

The Bass are shoaling off Ramsgate now, the 4 angler's today landing over 100 to 4lbs on hokkies, the fisheries rules allow us to keep 3 Bass per angler so all but the best fish returned. Also today we have Mackerel and Skate so a hectic few hours it has been. Some quality Hounds around with fish to 10lbs on lug/squid cocktails, this bait being the favourite of the doggies so plenty of them too. The wreck fishing has been hit or miss with Cod and Pollock to the lures. Pic shows today's group with some of the Bass. Still space and date's available on Duke IV, call me on 07715050851 to book! June fished really well from Poole with many excellent catches of Cod and Pollack, July has started with a 'bang' and the quality of the Cod has improved with many double figure fish and several over 20lb being landed, Plaice are being caught in good numbers with some nice size fish amongst them. Tope are providing good sport on light gear and to add to the fun we are operating Ray trips using spinning rods which tests the anglers skills and patience but it is rewarding.
