    Report on-board Hard Labour

The crew who are brothers can offer when the fish are feeding some of the best fishing in the area. They can and do treat you as a friend right from the start be you a novice or a seasoned angler. Free helpful advice allowed me to catch my best roker yet of 8lbs 4ozs on the 24th march closely followed by a smaller fish of 7lbs
2ozs. The future should be good for all as soon as the bass and the tope move in and i will definately be booking further trips with these to skippers.
    Regards
    Barry Wood

    Report on-board Ebony May

March 27 fished close marks plenty of fish, flounder, whiting dogs and small bass, the Mackerel are just starting to show but in small numbers this weather should bring them in very soon in quantity. sjhaols of whitebait in the harbour so if the bait fish are here the predators will not be far behind, looking forward to a good Easter, fish baits are producing the most fish but worm also quite productive.

  • 24/03/2012 Fishing Report by Ray Martin on PLAN B (Southend-On-Sea, Essex)

    Report on-board PLAN B

Saturday was due to be a flat calm day with glorious sunshine.. shame the fog came down so thick that we did not see anything until late afternoon... Fishing was patchy and we finally got among the skate right at the end of the day. This did however improve my chances for Sunday as I knew exactly where the fish were.. Sunday.. the fog had lifted but the wind was over tide and this made the first couple of hours fishing tricky. However after a really good take which resulted in a snap off we knew the skate were in attendance. A short while later we started to get them and finished up with most anglers managing 2 each. I hooked one up and the reel handle snapped so I unselfishly let one of the anglers take over.. 15 minutes later he managed to get it in..
Not sure how many we ended up with, all the females went back plus a couple of smaller ones.. ended up a lovely days fishing .. cannot wait to get back out.

    Report on-board High Flyer 2

Headed out today with the big tides ,hoping for a early bass to make a showing. Tried our luck north on the banks but only small whiting to show for it. Moved back up the north Scroby but the tide was way to strong resulting in the shallower waters of the winterton shoals. The bass remained illusive only lots of small dabs were interested stripping our baits giving us a bit of sport over slack. Whiting making a show throughout the day nothing of any size unfortunately. Ended up attempting the wreck at the rear of the shoals, still no bass. Big thanks to the lads at Network Rail for the day, Richard for organizing the trip, along with Matthew,Andy,Cammo Sean,Andy,Chris,Mark,Steve,Mick and Brian.Hope to see you all again lads. Jon.

  • 24/03/2012 Fishing Report by Aaron Smith on Bad Boyz VI (Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey)

24 Mar 2012 by Aaron Smith

    Report on-board Bad Boyz VI

Well the weather this last week has allowed us to head off around 20-30miles to fish some rough ground and leave the other boats fishing the shallow waters.

With the expectations of fishing into a wreck for Congers soon to be put on hold by the amount of marks on the sounder over the rough groung, which from the bottom to 30meters up could only be one thing SPURDOGS!
Thick shoals of spurdogs which surrounded the our area of fishing ment Congers had no chance.
With an average of 15-20 Spurdogs per angler over a 2 hour slack water and with no Dogfish and flat calm seas it has been pretty much fishing heaven.

Wrecking trips for 2012 are being very popular with only a few dates left.
