    Report on-board Obsession

Again with the winds over the past few weeks being so unpredictable this has kept a lot of the fleet on the moorings, but a break in the weather recently allowed us to go to sea on Sunday. Although the fishing was quite tough we still managed to pick up some decent Pollock. The day was a success and all made the better by the anglers, a lot of banter and some good laughs.

Remember we have the Brixham Plaice competition on the 5th and 6th of June between Obsession, Spot on and Off the hook and we still have some limited spaces left so give Kev a call on 07964 053347 to book you place

    Report on-board Size Matters

[This report was written when Size Matters was operating from Plymouth]

Well it's good to be back in Plymouth for the summer season! We have been wrecking for the last few days catching 30 to 40 Pollack and Ling per day. Best Ling was 27lb caught by Tony McDowell from Preston, he has fished with me on the Mersey and fancied a wrecking trip from Plymouth. He had never caught a Ling before and at the start of the trip he said I would love to catch a big Ling. I said to him when the tide is just right use one of my Ling rigs and you might just get one. He listed to my advice and reaped the rewards, well done Tony.
Most of the Pollack are 6lb to 8lb with a few doubles caught each day. This is the time of year where the winter fish have spawned and the summer fish are starting to arrive.
There is a few herring and mackerel about and we caught our first Conger on the drift while fishing for Ling. This is a very good sign and if I get enough interest we will start fishing for Conger in May, also over the next few weeks the Cod will start to show in good numbers!
Here are a list of the next available dates onboard Size Matters from Plymouth.

    April 13th 1 place £75 Wrecking.
    April 14th 7 places £75 Wrecking.
    April 17th 10 places £75 Wrecking.

I have 4 places available on a Guernsey trip, May 1st to May 4th, £400 per person this includes all bait, tackle, ice and all fish filleted.
Day 1 Wrecking on the way over.
Day 2 fishing the banks for Turbot and Brill.
Day 3 fishing the banks for Turbot and Brill.
Day 4 Wrecking on the way home.
Maximum on the boat is 8 anglers and you can fish from dawn to dusk if you can handle it.

    Cheers
    Kev

    Report on-board PLAN B

The skate have arrived in biblical numbers, takes less than 30 mins to get to fishing grounds and pretty much non stop fish.
If weather remains kind the bass and hounds will be around shortly.
I have a pretty full diary but have a couple of walk on spaces and whole boat Easter weekend (Sunday) if you fancy a day at sea.
