  • 27/03/2017 Fishing Report by Nick Gough on Skylark (Scarborough, North Yorkshire)

27 Mar 2017 by Nick Gough

    Report on-board Skylark

Photos from today's inshore uptiding trip with some nice fish showing again. Heaviest fish was caught in the first 5 minutes weighing 10lb 2oz.

Most of the lads had a good few size fish a piece with plenty of small holdings returned even size ones.
Best bait today seemed to be yet again squid and worn with crab cart fishing well too.

  • 25/03/2017 Fishing Report by Gethyn Owen on My Way 2 (Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey)

25 Mar 2017 by Gethyn Owen

    Report on-board My Way 2

Enjoyable spring day afloat today, plenty of doggies and whiting inshore with a few small pollack on the drift.
Deeps was hard work with a strong tide and ever increasing breeze, but we managed to bag a handful of spurs and Huss, followed by a rollercoaster ride back home.
Good fun, a lovely chicken curry from Mrs Brooksy and and equally delicious Aloo Methi from little Neil, thanks guys and not forgetting a damn good laugh along the way

  • 03/2017 Fishing Report by Colin De Block on Lead Us (Lowestoft, Suffolk)

Mar 2017 by Colin De Block

    Report on-board Lead Us

For those of you wondering about my absence and lack of reports over the last few months. I thought it was time to give you all an update on my activities here at Lead Us Charters. As you can see from the photos the new incarnation of Lead Us arrived on a cold wet November morning and over the winter with a lot of hard work and the much appreciated help of friends has been transformed into a lovely looking boat. Although the same length the new Lead Us is 2ft 6in wider in the beam and boasts a massive deck space almost 13ft x 10ft behind the engine box plus extra up the sides. This will provide more space, more comfort and stability and the ability to take more people. Lead Us is now nearing completion and will be very soon back in the water and operational again. Looking forward to catching up with all my old and new customers, bookings now being taken for Easter onwards

For more info or to book call 07803270798
    Thanks Colin

  • 25/03/2017 Fishing Report by Rich Cope on Mistress (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

25 Mar 2017 by Rich Cope

    Report on-board Mistress

I finally bit the bullet and ventured out to the wrecks today, I was looking at the water all the way out and thought it looked hellish green, so wasn't totally confident we were doing the right thing.

We were all keen and fired up for it though, we had a back up plan of dropping back inside uptiding if things didn't run to plan.

It was a slow start with us getting 3 or 4 a drift (poutings that is!)
with a few moves around a few wrecks though things started falling into place with us getting 5 or 6 cod a drift at times to shads, as the tide picked up the fishing tailed off, but we'd managed to rattle a good few fish out for the lads to shads and bait.

I ventured back inside for the last hour to finish off the day at anchor and we were still catching the cod getting another 6 or 7 in the last hour, The best lad managed a respectable 9 fish for his efforts with us finishing up with around 50 keepers for the day for the boat.

So the signs are certainly there that summer is finally on the way, we're taking bookings now and the phone has been a bit busier this last few days with the weather starting to improve, we still have places available on the upcoming festival, starting next Saturday with a massive £1000 up for grabs.

Give me a call on 07977 436903 if you're interested with a trip with me on Mistress here at Whitby, more photos and reports available on my face book page Mistress Sea Angling Charters
    Tight lines - Rich
